Brake light and turn lights

Check the signal fuse in the fuse box. it is a 10 amp fuse. If that signal fuse is out, You would also not have a horn or neutral light as well.

What will cause bluing on front exhaust pipe on 2003 yamaha v-star 1100

Ronald, All stock single wall pipes will blue some time or another. A big cause of Bluing is a badly tuned bike, burning rich or lean putting more heat into pipe. There are polishes available to remove the Bluing, and some people on forums, they suggest to remove and with high heat paint, put several coats inside of chrome pipes. Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. 97 roadking wont go into gear while engine is not running and in neutral, starter just spins

The starter clutch needs to be replaced. An alternator sgop will usually rebuild these for 1/2 of a new one. .A thumbs up would be greatly appreciated if this answer is helpful to you. Good Luck. 97-roadking-wont-go-into-gear-while-4d5i0utctl2htkxwobhufr12-1-0.jpg

Backfiring

Backfiring is a symptom of being too lean, not too rich. Clean your jets, synch the carbs and adjust the PMS.

I have a 03 yamaha vstar 1100 classic and here

Sounds like a bent shift fork. While accelerating you can feel the power cutting in and out quickly. The problem will get worse if you keep pushing 2nd gear till it slips. You can learn where (at what RPM) it wants to jump out and start shifting before it jumps out. The long term fix is opening the transmission and fixing the bent shift fork.

Gas cap v star 650

best bet would be to get a new one also remembering how much the dealers charge for there products i would go aftermarket threw partsunlimited, cruiser, or Tucker rocky but the dealer still has to order it for you, all have great quality products at cheaper prices than O.E.M replacements unless your still under warranty.
