Checked the connections on the Generator/magneto, if the connections arn't loose, then its most likely bad.

i would say without hesitation that if you have to ask then it is not advisable to diy, you cant gamble when brakes are concerned.

it does sound like it could be a bearing, and have that looked at soon.

you will just be able to fit the sprocket and not need to time any thing just put back as it was

not sure about tdm specifically but on most bikes lowering requires longer links

There is no european tuning - you really had a fault that the power commander had no chance of fixing it since it wasn't connected to it in any way.
You haven't told us the exact model of your bike so i can't be more precise, but this is usually caused by faulty carburetors: the bike has run on dirty fuel and the jets were clogged with dust and gums. Have the entire fuel system, starting with the tank, emptied and washed/cleaned.

The meta alarm could be interrupting the signals for bike to start.
Check the connector on the alarm is pushed in correctly and the supply fuse is ok.

First check if the front mudguard goes up and down with the wheel or is it fixed and only the wheel goes up and down. Meaning that with a bigger wheel the tyre should not touch the mudguard when it goes over a bump.
Would same axle work or a newer is required. If new, then new holes may be required on the front fork to fit the new axle.
The front brake shoes/disk have to fit the new larger hub. Please ensure.
Spoked or cast does not matter. The choice is yours.
