If the batteries good its probably a bad ground. make sure the hot and negative wires are good from the battery AND where they end up. The ground wire usually grounds to the frame somewhere, trace the ENTIRE wire!

try turning the fuel tap to reserve and see if it runs, DONOT presume that because the light does not come on you are not running out on main tank. the bulb may not be working. the light is just a warning that main is running out and to switch to reserve, if the bulb has blown it cannot warn you.

If your breather tube is blocked, this can happen. (It comes out of the valve covers)

It's replace thing because it's cheaper to replace then attempt to straighten them. Get the right ones for the bike or the controls won't fit. Also if the bars took a hit hard enough to bend the bars have a motorcycle shop check the steering dampener and front steering head bearings.

On the right hand side of the engine, there sould be a sight glass.

Check your Main fuse...Locate Your Fuses and Check them all.

Start here by looking at the schematics.

under the fuel tank

the pilot screws ...screw them in lightly then back off 1&1/4 turn out ,or you can do what id because i race a lot at 2200 ft so i gave the screws an extra 1/4 turn and has been running good for the last year.

better to strip the carbs and make sure the pilot jets are clear, i dont like using 'cleaners' in the tank.
