it should spin up to at least 8500 rpm.

Use the ignition key in the seat lock, turning it clockwise. The seat should pop up. Or you may have to pull it up yourself it the springs are old.

how do you adjust the headlight beam on a xjr1300 naked 2002 bike, is it as simple as undoing the 2 bracket bolts at the sides of the lights and re-setting the lights to a new level ??
currently it seems to be set for riding with a pillion passanger or heavy load at the rear as the lights are set low, no one flashes me even if i ride at night with full beam on !

Best to stop off at a dealer and have them look at the chain. The last thing you need is for the chain to lock up around the sprocket and sending you into an uncontrolled spin into oncoming traffic.

hello, sounds like you need to set floats in carb, if you have already done that, buy new floats, sounds like one or more of your floats are bad, when you cleaned carbs, did you check and see if any gas was inside the floats, sometimes they will get a pinhole in them, then they will fill with a little gas, and they wont turn gas off, because they cant float in the gas, the carbs are letting gas run through intake down into motor, always turn gas off when not riding your bike that might help a little,

hi buddy you unscrew the fork cap then pull it thrpugh a bit then below the fork cap will be the lock nut you need to hold the fork cap and lossen the locknut and it wil spin off

Has the bike been dropped on the shifter side??? Has someone kick hard on the shifter leaver???There is a shifting rod the is under the side cover. If if is bent??? It will not shift like it should. You can pull this rod out when you take the side cover off, and straighten the rob back with a hammer. The rod has to be straight to shift proper.
