on the back of the headlight to one side thre will either be a twist nob so to speak or a hex/srew head that you wind in or out to adjust the aim. have someone else sat astride the bike with it pointing towards a wall (about six to eightfeet away) with the headlight on and turn it one way you will notice the headlight beam move up or down, turn it according to how far you need it to go.

You need to check for exhaust back pressure--no more than 1 LB pr 1000 RPM.
One other problem-check amp draw on fuel pump-must be at least 8 amps or pump is not up to snuff.

You need a top end rebuild, check and replace piston rings, check and replace valve seals. Try replacing the spark plug caps. A bad spark plug cap can cause a miss at idle. NGK makes an inexpensive replacement for about $5 each. Simply unscrew the old ones off the end of the wire and screw on the new ones. If you want to test your caps they should read 5000 OHMS on a volt meter. No higher and no lower. If the read high or low replace them.
