2001 yamaha r1 carbs
Mine was doing the same thing and I had just rebuilt them. I did everything I could think of that it might be. Every piece had been changed out to new so I was lost... except the little round rubber seals that are between each Carb. There's 6 seals altogether. You listen to two bolts that run all the way through each carburetor to hold them together but you got to be really careful not take them completely apart because the little Springs will fly out of there couple of mine did and they're hard to get back but after putting those new seals in there that's why I fixed mine then it has just had to get it all set back right and it was good to go

Rear brake lever sticking making my brek lights stay on
Hi, There should be a spring that pulls the lever back up when you remove your foot. It might be missing or broken. You might also have a mal adjusted switch that activates the brake light. it should be located near the pivot bolt for the brake lever. There is also a switch on the front brake lever. That might need adjusting or replacement.

What kind of oil do i use?
I highly recommend synthetic made for motorcycle oil. It is more expensive but your engine (and clutch) will last a lot longer.

How do I go about pulling the cylinder head
Leave the engine in ,take off the exhaust down pipes ,drain the coolant and from the waterpump take off the carbs ,coils and plastic black panel the coils are on.then take off the cam cover, take the centre plug and offset inspection plug out of the front right engine cover turn the engine over with a spanner on the end of the crankshaft until T1/4 lines up with the small cut in the plugs thread in the offset hole.make sure the camshaft marks are lined up too on the cam sprockets and then stopped nod and remove the two Allen bolts in the cam chain tensioner.then take the cam caps off the exhaust cam and remove the cam then take off the inlet cam, then undo all the headboard including any small ones . At the front or back of the bead ,check above the oil filter as they hide them there sometimes, then lift off the head.

Key sticks and will not turn on ?
Does the key go in all the way or does it hang up when you put it in? If the key is in good shape (not worn down) I'd suspect your ignition module may have been damaged.

Front forks what goes in them highdrolic fluid or brake fluid
Not brake fluid or Hydraulic oil ( oil weight is the issue)Drain forks ( bottom nipple) , remove top bold , be careful it is pressurized by spring . Use the right tool otherwise will damage bolt and your face.Front forks should be sealed properly, fork seal should be intact, no water or brake fluid in them. Right amount of fork fluid is imperative along with oil weight specification ( check manual and appropriate oil weight for your bike), wrong oil and amount can otherwise damage your forks.
