Hi Allison,If you are sure , that it is JUST OIL, its OK :-). I mean, the air filter of TW is originally soaked with oil, thats how it works. If you take it out, it should be wet from oil but not dripping It has a hose for excess oil in the bottom (see pict)take the hose out and clean it. Maybe it is full.Be sure to check, whether it is not the FUEL that is leaking. In that case it would be a carburetor issue. Also check the oil level of engine.

Hello wayne...it is probably the cable that is stuck. Try loosening the throttle cable on the handelbar adjustment. Your cable might be too tight & lubricate the cable.
If that don't help, the slide in the carb is stuck open, you will need to reset it. Try moving the cable around by hand, sometimes that will free it up. If not you will have to open the carb up to get to the slide. I hope this.

It could be caused by lots of things. I would suggest to clean the carburetor- as first the float chamber, if there was fuel through winter. Check if the pilot jet is set correctly. If these things not helped, clean the airfilter.

Have the shop do a compression check. Chances are the valve faces are carboned up and/or burned. it is likely the valves just need to be re-seated using valve grinding compound. Th cylinder head gets removed for access to the valves.

I have a tw200 and when I have this problem its from the cam chain slipping back a notch when I unload it from my truck. I leave it in gear so when I let off the cluch it acts as a brake. I ride by my self so thats why I load it that way. I am guessing you load and unload your tw the same way. So remove the timing cover and make sure you are tdc on both the upper and lower timing marks. The bike will run if the timming is off a bit. It's really easy to set the timing on these bikes. It's easier to look for how to on the xt 200 if you need more help.

the easiest way is to remove the half shaft and do it on a bench they are a bit tricky

the drive belt in the engine needs replaced

Nathin, Its time to take it to a qualified professional... let them look at it,, they should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do.. this could end up costing $$$$$ if you don't get it repaired correctly..
