How often do the carbs
I used to just check them every six months or so, and most times they didn't need any adjustment whatsoever. It will only be the idling that is normally effected, so unless it is not idling perfectly I would not really worry about it.
I have no spark i
To confirm that there is loss of voltage remove the wire to the coil and check the voltage on the wire as you crank on the engine for the alternator to work. If there is no voltage then it is possible that the winding orr the rectifier is faulty.
You will need to open the alternator/dynamo unit. However If voltage is present then check the HT coil for short.
Brake light does not work??
Pull out a multimeter/dmm/voltage gauge
place on the two terminals of the brake light (after removing it)
pull the front brake lever or push the brake pedal both should cause 12V to appear at the terminals
if 12V does appear at the terminals in both cases the brake light is bad.
if the rear lever does not cause it to trip check to make sure the switch (which should be directly attached to the brake pedal/lever) is working by putting the multimeter/dmm across its terminals and testing for continuity when you activate it.
if the front lever does not activate it check to make sure the switch on the lever is working in the same fashion as the rear one.
Battery wouldn't charge. Its a new one but runs
Hi and welcome to the site,
Initially, check the voltage regulator and the stator. Recharge the battery. Measure the battery voltage before and after the bike has been started. The voltage should go up as the RPM is increased.
Good luck and thank you for asking.
