Wont start.

Hi, Sounds like a sticky float valve in one or more of the carbs. When sitting, the carb overfills causing the revving when you start it, then it dies cause the carb isn't filling. Also check the exup valve in the intake, it could also cause the exact same symptoms but because of too much back pressure once it starts. Good Luck to you, hope this helps Fixya!

I have a yamaha fzr600 that won't start. I put the key in the on position and get a clicking sound from one of the relay switches that is wired to the ignition box.

Is it a single click as you turn the ignition on or a series of clicks as you press the starter button? A series of clicks points to the starter solenoid being faulty. Follow the positive cable from the battery and you should find the relay (suzuki's are cylindrical in shape I believe) and see if the clicking is here. If so. with the ignition on short across the 2 bolted cable connections momentarily with a screwdriver and see if it turns over or starts. Careful, don't allow the short to touch the frame. Hope this helps.

Are the spark plug wires replaceable or part of the ignit i on coils?

The ht leads are usually screwed into the coils but some are also bonded in and pushed onto a pin.

Why FZR600 seems to lose two cylinders while driving, carb or spark problem?

if carbs are clean and not flooding etc then try finding out which cyls are off then swop plug caps over from good cyls and see if problem moves , if yes then fit a set of 4 new plug caps ! if no then do carbs again !!

Wiring diagram main harness 92yamaha fzr 600

Isolate the problem by removing all small fuses, then replace main fuse with an ammeter that will measure 40 amps or more. Replace small fuses till ammeter shows a larger current draw. If this doesn't show problem, the problem is in the starter or charging circuit. Let me know what you find. Jim

Brake light

personally, i would not worry about the light as long as the brakes are fully, i mean fully functional. It could be some wiring issue.

Will not start clicking noise

That sounds just like a dead battery. Try charging it with a motorcycle battery charger (not a car battery charger) and see if that works. If not then take the battery to a local auto shop to have it tested. Many do this for free. MGM

No electricity to the sparkplugs

You have a ground issue. The coils aren't properly grounded, or the coils are bad! Sometimes it can be the ignition if it is a CDI ignition. Good luck!

I have checked the solenoid and the starter and both seem to be working fine yet still wont turn over when start button is pushed

Check Voltage to/from solenoid, to/from battery, 12-12.5 volts DC when not running. 12.5-13.5 when idling at 2000-2500rpm, had similar issue and tried cleaning the contacts on the starter, contacts on the push-button also. Only to find it was the solenoid. To test starter solenoid, by-passing the starter button & solenoid, Turn the key on. Now use a screwdriver to make contact between both poles on the solenoid, there may be sparks, but only maintain contact for 1 or 3 seconds this will by-pass the solenoid and start button. I've heard it called "bumping" the starter. If it this cranks the starter or even starts (mine does) replace the solenoid ($8 on Ebay) ($12 at Advanced Auto Parts). If not its probably going to be your starter, stator or starter brushes etc
