Fuel line routing diagrams for 86 yamaha fz600

You can route it any way you want really. I'm not familiar with your specific model but if you don't have a fuel filter (you should) or a fuel pump to worry about it's just a matter of finding the easiest path from the inlet nipple from the carburetor rack to the petcock on the tank... That's an awesome number of innuendos in one sentence!

Get the coil and its connections checked. It can be loose connection or voltage issue. It has to be checked by meter.------------- Did you check the pickup coil? That is the red/white and black/white TWO WIRE connector from the stator lead(it should read 80-120ohms and vary when you slowly turn the flywheel timing bump past the pickup).Ohms check on the two wires from the coil pack, if the wires are loose or faulty, it will not let the coil to give power to spark plugs.Check the primary AND secondary coils for your ignition. ------- The wires leading into the coils should show 12volts, the ohms test across the HT leads should be 13000ohms. The voltage from the stator on the 3 large white wires should give a reading of 4v when cranking the engine.Other possibility can be shorted kill switch wire from coil to ignition switch.Get it checked. There is a short in wires or any wire got loose or the coil pack is faulty. It has to be checked by meter to confirm. This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

If you're tralking about the vacuum hoses coming off the carbs, 3 you just plug (like with a short piece of hose with a screw in it) and one will have a hose going to the petcock (fuel valve) on the tank (as I recall off the top of my head).

Neutral light stays ob

If the switch itself isn't grounding you might have the wire shorting to ground on it's way to the gauge. If you can, unplug the neutral light wire where it comes out of the motor, if the light goes out you have a problem with the switch itself, if it stays on you have to follow the wire back to the light. You can isolate parts of the harness by unplugging the factory electrical plugs.

Charging failure on a 1987 fz600

The generator will produce ac voltage not dc so the meter needs to read ac voltage. the readings need to be taken between the three wires using two at a time until all combinations have been tried. readings should all be the same. Engine will have to be run at about 5000rpm while readings are obtained. Other possible problem could be the regulator / rectifier unit breaking down when hot.

Timming chain adjustment

Most likely you have anautomatic cam chain tensioner, which cannot be tensioned, and the only remedy is to replace the cam chain (if it's stretched). If, however, you have a manualy adjusted cam chain tensioner (highly unlikely), you have to look up the tensioning value in your workshop manual.
