How to hook up 4wire speedometer(grn,. Blk., Blue/wht stripe, red/blk stripe)on 2000' victory motorcycle??

To hook up a 4-wire speedometer on a 2000 Victory motorcycle, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the connectors for the speedometer wires. These are typically located near the speedometer or in the wiring harness near the front of the motorcycle.
  2. Identify the wires on the speedometer. The colors of the wires should match the colors you listed (green, black, blue/white stripe, and red/black stripe).
  3. Connect the green wire to the ground wire or terminal on the motorcycle. This is typically a black wire or a metal ground point on the frame of the motorcycle.
  4. Connect the black wire to the power wire or terminal on the motorcycle. This is typically a red wire or a positive terminal on the battery.
  5. Connect the blue/white stripe wire to the signal wire or terminal on the motorcycle. This is typically a white or yellow wire that carries the speed signal from the speed sensor to the speedometer.
  6. Connect the red/black stripe wire to the lighting wire or terminal on the motorcycle. This is typically a blue wire that powers the lighting on the speedometer.
It's important to make sure that the connections are secure and that the wires are not damaged. If you are unsure of how to connect the wires or if you encounter any difficulties, it may be best to consult a mechanic or the motorcycle's service manual for further guidance.

2001 Victory V 92 C Deluxe front fork leaking

If it's leaking there will be a reason for it. Could be anything from a worn seal, (cheap), to scratched and damaged moving parts, (expensive). Repairing heavier damage might make the forks work unevenly. Price up the repair as it could be cheaper to buy a complete set of forks. You may be able to get a decent second hand set from a specialist motorcycle breakers yard.

Speedometor not working

Hello,

was the speedometer working before now? Probably your speedometer cable is defective/worn out which might need replacement.

Inspect the worm gear assembly as well to see if there are any components that are worn away

The worm gear assembly is the part that connects the wheel to the speedo cable so that it will actuate the speedo/odometer.

Also, check the speed sensor next the starter motor which sends a voltage pulse to the speedometer.

If you can get at the connectors just down from the speedo you can check for this pulse.

Block the back wheel off the ground. Unplug the connectors and hook a volt meter to the pink/green + and the green/black - wires on the harness side not the speedo side.

Turn on the key and then check for a 0-5 volt pulse when you turn the wheel forward slowly.

If you have a pulse the speed sensor is likely okay and your speedo circuit board is faulty.

If you get no voltage pulse then you have to check the pulse closer to the speed sensor or check the connectors and wires for faults. No pulse can be a faulty speed sensor or just a bad connection.

Lastly, make sure you check the fuses well?

Good luck.

Speedometer stopped working on 2001 Victory Motorcycle

Check if it uses cable or if it electronic.
If it uses cable the lower end is attached on the front wheel axle.Maybe you have to buy a new cable.
If it is electronic usually it senses the pulse from the gearbox (the sensor is towards the swingarm).

Whilst riding 2 up at 80mph my bike cut out

Hello. I can assist you. It sounds like you have a partially gummed up engine. I suggest that you go to any auto parts store and get two bottles of a fuel additive called seafoam. this will do wonders for you. Follow the directions on the amount to add each time you fuel up. After you run the two bottles of seafoam through your bike I believe your problem will be solved and it will be more responsive than it has been in a long time.
