Hi, my 2002 Triumph tt600 keeps dying and the speedometer keeps shutting off while I'm riding, which wire(s) do i need to look at to fix this problem?

Im just throwing this out there. Im not familiar with the TTs but I am familiar with the 955s and it sounds like a position sensor ( cam or crank) starting to go bad and grounding out.

Look at the sidewall of both tires. There will be a 'MAX PSI' embossed on the tire. It will probably say Max 45 PSI. At 45psi the bike will ride like a rock. At 15psi it will ride really squirrely. Find a psi at which you feel the bike handles well and rides well. One rider may weigh 125 pounds and the next rider may weigh 300 pounds. The best psi for each rider will be different due to weight. Chances are that 30 to 35 psi will do the trick. Please take a moment to rate my answer. Thanks.

I would start with new plugs and cleaning the air filter. Also, if the bike has carburetors, I would drain the carbs. Condensation from the gas tank may have gotten into the carb float bowls.

Changed alternator and rotor on my 02 tt600 bike

This is difficult. I'm sure that somehow you have lost the ignition timing. What I'm not sure of is how this might have happened.

Ez pull clutch

the easiest way is to fit a extended aftermarket lever it is like a shallow z type lever giving better pressure without the length. or try joining the r.a.t.s triumph club who may help with an alternative master cylinder arrange ment from a daytona or something. allso have you checked the brake pistons to see if they are seized .no rust on the chrome pistons that push the pads.another way is to fit braided hoses which sharpen up the feel .i did this on my 89 zxr and i only stroke the brakes now .sintered pads will make it stop better to but make more noise.

Bad Fuel Pump?

Yes, you can remove the outlet pipe from the fuel pump and see if there is a flow of gas as you switch on the ignition taking care to have a container to catch the gas from the outlet pipe.
If there's no flow of fuel....means either its dead or may have some obstraction at the inlet of the pump.
Hope this helps!

Black smoke front engine on motorbike

check valve cover is it leaking oil. clean up the engine real good....i use chemtool B-12 carb cleaner.. wear gloves and don't breathe the fumes and if it gets on the exhaust, you"ll see smoke come off the pipes, so let it dry up before riding and wipe the exhaust pipes real good...now ride the bike and see if you see any smoke...when you do, pull over and take a look to see where its coming from...it could also be coming from a leaking exhaust pipe gasket.

I have a 600tt.The temp gets hot very quickly

well depends if your ragging the **** out of it if not then check to see if you have coolant and normally when the temp hits 90+c it will drop then get hot again it drops because the thermostate has opened if this is not happening you need to take the thermostate out and dunk it in a cup off boiling water and look at it and you should see it move if not then that needs replacing buddy

Speedo only reads 1 & 2 mph

Common problem on Triumphs - the rotating magnet in the speed sender on the front axle gets broken. This typically happens after some front wheel service activity like tire replacement, due to improper re-fitment of the wheel.
The magnet is not available as a stand-alone replacement part unfortunately and the entire sender assembly must be replaced - not cheap, about $170 (sorry to be bearer of bad news)

Does changing the fuel map smooth the power delivery

A power commander won't help as I believe it is an issue with timing and not fuel delivery. I bought my 2000 and it came with a Power Commander. I tried messing with the fuel with little change in the results. I recently bought a 2002 ecu on ebay and swapped it in. It runs a lot smoother down low although the 5k-6k area feels a little flat so maybe I'll increase fuel there. I really should get it dynotuned at some point. If you're willing to swing the money, buy a Tuneboy instead of a power commander.
