2006 Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa Questions & Answers
Hi there, I have a 2000 hayabusa. Starts and runs
Did you make sure that it has the proper coolant mix ratio as it sounds like it has a large % of water ! it must have the correct mix ratio to maintain proper temp ! It might look like it has the correct mix because of the colour but if you have not done a coolant change your self then there is no way of telling if it is correct so I would flush the system and replace it with a recommended brand and mix ( some are already pre-mixed )
Forks knocking
are you sure it is the forks, I have a 99 and it clunks like hell and it is the fairings the forks are fine, if you remove the fairings and try it again if you can.
Where is the VIN plate on a 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa please?
On a 2006 'Busa, there is no plate. The numbers are stamped into the neck. They are on the right side of the neck (as if you were sitting on the bike). Turn the bars to the left and look on the right side if the neck. You will see them stamped into the metal. Hope this helps Pete.

How do I clear c31 code on 2006 hayabusa
Most likely, you have oil from the chain in the connections, shorting out your gear position sensor. Just remove the sprocket cover and clean all of your connections. Sould solve your problem. By the way, sever cases of oil contamination in the connections in that area have been known to cause your entire intrument cluster to stop working.
I have a 2006 Suzuki Hayabusa. I tried jump
It is OK to jump your bike from a car battery as long as the car is not running and you do not turn the starter motor too long (the starter will overheat).Did you check the main fuse ? It is usually located on or near the starter solenoid and id separate from the fuse block. If you still have no power it is possible that there is a problem with the ignition switch contact base. On some motorcycles you can take them out and clean them or replace them. You can unplug your switch from the harness and check the wires for continuity with a voltage meter. I suspect you have not found the main fuse or you have a bad positive cable coming off your battery. If you get power back to the bike but it will not start , you may have to check into other issues if you tried to start the cycle from a car battery attached to a RUNNING car.
Wont go in 2nd gear
If it will go into all other gears but not second, the transmission may have damage like a bent shift fork, damaged gears and/or shift drum. If the bike has been raced or accelerated hard and gear shifts have been missed, it most likely has transmission damage and the engine will have to come out and be torn down in order to repair. If the bike was hopping in and out of second gear before it stopped going into second, the transmission is most likely damaged. One more thing to try is to take the shift lever and push momentarily down or up on the lever and see if it smoothly returns to its original center position. If it does return to the center position the lever is not sticking and ir it does not return to center position then the shift lever is sticking and that will keep the trans from up or down shifting.
What makes the battery lose power as i ride
Everything electrical, lights, computer, you should plug your bike up each night to a battery tender, it will make your battery last longer also. Sport bikes have no alternator to recharge system battery. I love my gel cell battery it last a long time and you dont have to worry about any chemicals/leakage. fast charging also
