2006 Suzuki SV 650 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2006 Suzuki SV 650 will not turn over
Make sure your clutch lever, neutral position, kickstand and kill switches are all working.
You could also try removing the negative lead for the battery for about 1 minute and reattaching, and trying again to see if that clears it.
The problem i have with my suzuki Sv 650 is that
Check
to make sure the battery is fully charged and that the fuses are all
good. If you push the starter button and the solenoid clicks, the
button is good. Take
a wire and jump the two posts on the solenoid or touch the two cables
together, if your starter works, then you need a new solenoid. If you
hold the starter button and tap on the starter with a plastic hammer and
the starter works you need new starter brushes. Anything else wrong
with the starter and you need to replace the starter assembly , unless the
manufacturer sells replacement parts so you can repair the starter. most manufacturers only sell replacement starter brushes but no other internal starter parts.
SV650S Alternative Engine Oil
Suzuki recommends the use of SUZUKI PERFORMANCE 4 MOTOR OIL or an oil which is rated SF or SG under the API (American Petroleum Institute) classification system. The viscosity rating should be SAE 10W-40. If an SAE 10W-40 oil is not available, select an alternative according to the information below:
-4°F - 86°F: 10W-30
-4°F - 104°F+: 10W-40, 10W-50
6°F - 104°F+: 15W-40, 15W-50
14°F - 104°F+: 20W-50
Engine life depends on oil amount and quality. Daily oil level checks and periodic changes are two of the most important maintenance itmes to be performed.
Digital speedo jumping randomly up to299kmh not reading correct
The speedo drive sender is very common failure on these bikes following any maintenance involving the front wheel removal (like tire replacement)
The speed sensor is located on front axle on the right side of the wheel
The magnetic rotor gets broken because the drive detent is not properly engaged duing re-assembly.
Fortunately the replacement is relatively inexpensive and reasonably easy to replace if you are careful to engage the drive properly when re-installing wheel. Insert the drive into the wheel before bringing wheel up to forks and inserting axle.
Can't keep running
Make sure your choke is fully in closed possition> Sitting up for that long could have allowed vanish to not allow it to seat and cause an overly rich condition
Engine wont start it is
You need 3 things for an engine to run; spark, fuel and compression. How is the compression? Is the spark plug new? If the plug is old, it could give a nice spark when you check it but have no spark under compression. Make sure the fuel you're using is fresh. If you give it a small shot of starting fluid and it fires up, your fuel delivery is suspect. In that case, you will need to remove the carb an THOROUGHLY clean it paying close attention to jets and passages. I always give people this warning: when cleaning jets and passages, NEVER use steel instruments. Use wood, copper wire or other materials that are softer than the material you're working on or you run the risk of ruining jets or even the entire carburetor.
The clutch lever wont engage
check the clutch cable if its working... dismantle the body engine cover where the edge is connected, check if it is working...
I have a 1987 suzuki
Hi, use your key to open the side panel. You have to unscrew both battery posts in place, then slide the battery out. Don't loose the nuts that the battery screws screw into. Once the battery is charged, you need to put the nuts in place inside the terminals and carefully slide the battery in without disturbing the nuts. Then the screws will go into the nuts for tightening. Always loosen the negative cable first and replace it last to minimize the chance of shorting the positive to ground when attaching the positive cable. Please let me know if you have more questions. I have one of these and I have the manual for it.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
Yes it may but as a first course of action I strongly suggest that you replace the fuel filter. It can be clogged causing fuel supply irregularities. If it still doesn't help then replace the fuel pump and you'll be good.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Where is the rectifier located on my 2004 suzuki katana 600
Behind the radiator on the left side. It is the device with cooling fins, even though the electronic parts are embedded in rubber paste. The location isn't ideal and sudden defects leave people stranded so what people do is relocate the regulator/rectifier to a cooler place. Perhaps to the air inlet, under the air filter. Follow the three, mostly, yellow cables that originate from the stator when you don't find it behind the radiator.

Why my Suzuki TF 125 losses power in the midway? What are the causes for such loss of power?
What do you mean by "Midway"? How old is this motorbike? What exactly did you do to clean the carburettor? Is it a new spark plug and a new, clean air filter? Did you empty the fuel tank to remove the fuel tap to clean the filter on the inside of the tap?
Is it doing anything else? Things like - is it hard to start, has heavier exhaust smoke or it has a rough and uneven idle.

Bypass immobilizer on 2007 Suzuki R6
You can't, the computerized system is in place to stop exactly what you are trying to do, Steal the bike without the correct credentials. You can't reprogram or over-ride the computer. You need a bike electrician.
