F1 trouble code
The ECU has detected a fuel injection malfunction and that is why the light is on.

I've had the same thing on my Honda Magna and a person I know the same on his Suzuki GSX R 600. At first we were told it was the computer going through a system check on start up, then a year later he had a temperature sensor replaced cause it would turn the cooling fan on when the engine was still in warm up. I'll be changing mine in the sprint (I'll have the bike shop do it) cause my engine seams to get ripping hot before the fan come on. So take it from that, it's got something to do with the temperature switch/sensor.
HAVE A 1997 SUZUKI GSXR 600 I CRANK THE BIKE UP
The reason the bike shuts down when you remove the negative cable is because you are removing half the circuit.Go and get yourself a volt meter that will do volts DC.Start the bike up and and with the leads on the appropriate terminals have a friend bring the bike off idle and read the voltage. You should get somewhere between 13 to 14.4 volts.Anything less than this means you are not charging up the battery.Good Luck

Hot
climate, warm weather, long distance riding 20w-50 is a great choice.
Cold climate 10w-40 might work better. Use only a JASO MA certified
motorcycle oil . Synthetics will help your bike run cooler and shift
easier. Do not use any oil that says Energy Conserving on the label it will shorten the life of the wet clutch and transmission gears.

Check the fluid level in the front master cylinder. Chances are you need to add some brake fluid and then bleed air out of the system. There is a bleeder valve on the handlebar at the lever and one on top of the wheel caliper.
Please rate my answer. Thanks.
How much coolant do i need to put in bike
Top it off! No exact level or anything. Just fill it, run it until its at regular operating temperature and check to see if it needs to be topped off afterwords. Be sure to let it cool off for a long while before you check it again. Popping off a hot radiator cap is bad bongos.
FI LIGHT IS ON
FI stands for Fuel Injection. The sensors on your bike have detected a problem in the fuel system. A dealer can read the code to see exactly what the sensors are saying is wrong.
I have a 2006 gsxr 600 that is fuel injection.The
try a can of Seafoam $10 @Autozone our in 1/3 to 2 gallons gas and drive for about 10 to 15 miles and see if that stuff will clean out the whole fuel injector and idle system get on it once in awhile to but be safe. Now if that doesnt do it, then look for loose hoses or vacuum leaks...just spray carb cleaner around the throttle body and injectors and if the idle increases you've found your leak. i hope this was at least helpful Thanks!
I have a 2006 gsxr that runs perfect.When i ride
If it's fuel injected it may have an idle air control valve or sometimes called an auxillary air valve, this is used to automaticly control the idle by giving more air to the engine to stabalize the idle speed under all or no loads.
I have a 2006 gsxr 600.The bike starts up and
It has injectors.Does it display any "C" codes when you crank it up? Did you ever tinker any Fuel Injection modules or sensors? Have you inspected/ or visual checked or try to replaced your fuel filter?
