Remove the spark plug, put the bike in fourth or fifth gear then try a jump start but with the key turned off. If the rear wheel locks up when you jump on and release the clutch then the piston has probably seized up OR the kick start-to-clutch hub gearing is messed up. The best thing to do is to remove the left engine side cover and look at the kick start mechanism. You may need to remove the clutch assembly for a full inspection. With the clutch removed the rotor ( crankshaft flywheel ) should turn. If it will not turn then a seized piston, broken cam chain or dropped valve is likely. If the rotor does turn then the kick start mechanism is the problem. Please rate my answer. Thanks!
Well the motor locked up
If you are running 5th gear mid throttle the compression in the motor wasnt enough to push the piston back down

Witch marks on magnitio i use to set valve timing
With the valve rocker covers off and magneto inspection plug and centre plug removed, turn motor using nut on magneto, counter-clockwise until a line appears centrally in the inspection window. This will be at Top Dead Centre (TDC).
To check this, all rockers should at rebound with all valves closed. There should be a tiny amount of play on all rockers.
If not, (being a 4 stroke) rotate motor one full turn counter-clockwise.
All engine work or strip downs must commence from the position of TDC.
Cheers!
The driveshaft will not turn
If the kick starter operates normally the likely cause for a transmission lock up is bent shift forks. The bent forks are trying to engage two speeds at once i.e., 2nd and 3rd at the same time. A broken
circlip on a tranny shaft could also cause the dual engagement. If the starter is locked up the problem is likely to be a broken retainer clip. There is a possibility that the cam chain may have broken and is wrapped up on the crank gear. Is there oil in the gearbox? The engine may have seized up do to a lack of lubrication. How do I lower the height of the bike,is it as
no dont release any gas
you might lower it a little by unwinding the spring preload, but this will soften the suspension
You will probably need a lowering linkage, which is one of the links between the shock and swing arm.
My 04 rmz250 is overheating. It started smoking 3
Several things here. Do an oil change, 10w40 motor oil. Run premium gas and install a new NGK spark plug one heat range colder than stock. It sounds like you have an air leak causing a lean fuel mix. Check the carb mount bolts and the intake manifold bolts for tightness. Also set the valve clearances with a cold engine > .002 intake and .003 exhaust. Check for any cylinder head leaks. This would show up as oil on the cooling fins at the base of the cylinder head. Tighten the head bolts if needed.
Motor noise
Check the lash of the wrist pin? They do make a clacking noise if too much play is involved
No oil being pumped to top of engine.
One oil filler, check your manual or download one from one of the manual sites on fixya. Quantity is written on crancase generally, or dipstick on filler plug, The oilpump, pumps the oil throughout engine.

use some grease on the threads and lock nuts. Make sure the axle and lock nuts are loose before trying to adjust the bolts.
The bolts really only set the chain and wheel, until the axle is tightened,
grease the axle as well.

hi,if your bike is burning the trans fluid,it sounds like one of the seals has not seated properly allowing trans fluid to enter the bottom of the intake/combustion chamber,i am afraid to say it but you will need to pull it apart again and investigate...cheers
