How would i check my oil level on my 2003 suzuki

Low on the right side crankcase cover there is a sight glass. Have someone hold the bike level (not on the side stand) and check the oil level through the sight glass. If you can see oil while the bike is level, you are ok.

Sounds like you may have a air leaking before your carburetor, check your rubber boot that mouths your carburetor to your intake, look for a crack or a pin hole or maybe your clamp needs tightened, at least that is one thing I can think of that may cause the problem you are describing, hope that help you! Good luck Rick.

Automotive antifreeze can be used as long as it is a 50/50 mix. If you have straight concentrate, mix 50/50 with filtered water before adding to radiator.

The fan has a switch. Find the fan's switch, and check to see if it is bad. This is most often the problem. It should be located in the bottom of the radiator.

Also, check that the fan itself is not bad.

Here is a site that may help you.

Was it running OK before this happened? If so, then turn your kill switch on and off a few times. Maybe it just wasn't making good contact. Check the battery, a power lead might have come off.

How to adjust suspension stiffness ride is fairly

Pull off the plastic left side cover below the seat - go easy so you don't damage the tabs.
Remove the tool box cover.
Remove the tool box tray (2 bolts).
Use the tool provided in your OEM tool kit, and use the flattened tubular extension for more leverage.
Use gloves to save your knuckles.
Higher # stiffer - lower # softer.
A lot easier if you have a jack to get the weight off the rear wheel.

30A MAIN fuse protects all electrical circuits.
. 10A HEAD-HI fuse protects the headlight high beam and high beam indicator light.
. 10A HEAD-LO fuse protects the head light low beam.
. 10A METER fuse protects speedometer light.
. 15A IGNITION fuse protects ignition coil and fan motor.
. 15A SIGNAL fuse protects coolant temperature indicator light, turn signal indicator light, neutral indicator light, oil pressure indicator light, horn, brake light, tail light, position light and turn signal light.

So if you have lost just the horn then it's either the button or the horn itself, not the fuse.

2003 Volusia backfires through the

G'day. A couple of things can cause this. Most common is an air leak at the exhaust header.Check your header flange bolts are tight/gaskets ok.Remember to loosen all the mounts on the exhaust & tighten from the front to the back.(Tighten the header flanges first, then the muffler joint, then the muffler mounts.)The other cause is a fuel mixture issue. This cold be somthing as simple as a balance issue, mixture setting,or air leak(especially at intake manifold at cylinder head). Check for leaks at the inlet manifolds by spraying with WD type spray & a nozzle around manifolds whilst engine is idleing. If engine revs change then you have an air leak.If your model is carburetted & not fuel injection. After checking the other things first, I would then check the carby balance & richen the mixture screw settings(2 to 2.5 turns out)& see how that went.Useing high octane good fuel too may help if you already don't do so.
Hope some of this helps.

Is there coolant in the Volusia and how do you

It is liquid cooled & you can check it like a car. On the left or right side there's a cap on the radiator. DO NOT open when hot. Open when cool & the level should be about 1/2" from the top when standing the bike like you're riding it.

I have a volusia 800,2003 It has sat for 5years,

First, you will need to clean the carburetor. The fuel will have gone bad in that time.

Also, you will need to remove the gas from the tank and replace with fresh fuel.

Your battery will most likely be completely dead. You can try to charge it, but you will mot likely need to replace it.
