First put your bike up on the large kick stand .2nd use a 17 mm socket and remove drain plug on bottom of engine.You dont have to remove the farings.After you drain the oil replace plug.Reach in front of the engine behind the front tire and remove the oil filter and replace.Finally add 4 qts of 10w-30 or 10w-40 motorcycle oil.Check ur oil through the oil window on the side of bike.

Brown is tail Red is stop either back or green is earth. Why do you need to "rewire" if you have a new one just leave the wiring and light sockets on the bike replace the tail light and put the original light sockets back in the new tail light.

I have owned a 600 bandit and now have a GXF 650F, both have a sight glass in the sump with high and low level marker lines. Engine casing about where the toe of your right boot will be. Check oil level with the bike upright not on side stand.

hi maybe idle jets bocked if the bike has being standing or maybe the carbs need a balance was the bike ok befor this started

Either the idle speed is set too low or the idle circuit in the carbs is still plugged up despite the previous cleaning.

The two cables under the start button are your throttle cables (push /pull)

Your coil is shot possibly

Normally transmissions unless you feel there is a problem they are mostly robust if you ride your bike proper and will outlast most other parts.

If it will crank the starter over then the most likely cause is all the starter bushings are wore out and it does not have enough just to fire the coil and crank it over. to be sure it's not a bad battery you could jump start it and if it starts that way then the battery could be bad. if it still does not start then the starter has a problem and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. SINCE YOU DIDN'T SAY THE STARTER WAS TURNING THE MOTOR i DON'T KNOW WHAT else to tell you sorry for the caps. I am a better mechanic than a typist.

sounds like you have to remove the carbs and give them a good cleaning.

Check your carb, fuel bowl and its float.

May I suggest a trip to your local library. Cycle repair books should be in 646 stacks of reference.

while at it check the injectors ( they might be clogged )

To sync your carbs there are various suppliers for the sync sticks. Norgan Carbtune from the UK or Motion Pro are two that come to mind. Both can supply carb syncro sticks. I would suggest getting a manual or checking your library for the specific syncroed level.

You need a carb syncronizer. If you call around to your local bike shop or shop on ebay, you should be able to find one for about $100.00 or less. It is well worth the money because if you set your carbs properly, your bike will run like never before.
