My 650 burgman has a miss at low speeds

I am not too familar with the 650 burgman but the missing problem is a universal problems on most of these bikes. Now this can one of a few problems from my experience. 1: it can be that the mufler has a small hole before the silencer this can be checked in various ways one of the best way to do this is to add a little bit of engine oil to the gasoline (only if its a 2 stroke engine) and shake it a little turn it on so the oil get in to the caborator and it will smoke a little then you can block the end of the exhaust mufler while its on and look to see where it is leaking from, if there aren't any holes it will stifle sound like it dying down and might eventualy cutts off.Now if there is a hole and its to small to let out enough exhaust for the engine to operate it might shut off also so you might have to to check carefully for the hole. That's the hole problem2: The gasket for the manifold might be going or have some damages therefore this will cause it to miss a lot but if it's not completely gone it will only give asmall miss now this is in need of replacement, like always the replacement are not like the originals so a good advice is make sure who ever doing the job uses the right silicone and let it dryproperly at least 15 minutes before starting up. Oh another way to check the problem is to ride at an exalerated speed and while slowing down applying break reve the ex a little but not too much for the engine to kick and when you reve and release you will hear the missing after and listen carefully you will hear if its from the minifold area or the mufler it self the minifold might give you a double miss

How much people weight (2 passengers) will this take? My wife and I combine at about 490. Thanks. Frankie

Manual says GVW of machine is 910 pounds. That is max allowed weight of machine plus all passengers, baggage etc. The curbside weight of the AN400 is 452 pounds and the slightly heavier AN400A is 489 pounds. That leaves 458 pounds to load on a AN400 and 421 pounds on an AN400A. So for UK riders that equates to 32 stone 10 lb for AN400 and 30 stone 1lb for the AN400A.If you ride with too much weight the clutch is likely to wear out early - I've heard of big bills for this, plus handling will be impaired.

Burgman 400 trunk seat won't open, how can i get

If the storage area is full you may need to press the rear of the seat down (a fair amount of pressure may be needed) and turn the key at the same time. I suppose that pressure on the cable could cause a trapped lock. This would need someone to fiddle the cable.

I hope this helps.
