Motorcycle Question about a 1999 Suzuki Marauder VZ800 running rough after it is running a while.

Question edited for clarity and typos. I had a similar issue on a Kawasaki Z1300. It was caused by a fuel line that was routed very close to the rear of the cylinders. When the engine heated up it caused a vapor lock, so basically a gap in the fuel delivery. Backfires can also be caused by weak fuel delivery.

Piston slap

ok piston slap is down to worn rings, if a bearing has spun this is a biggy, might need new / used crank, and rod.

Battery was pulled about 7 weeks ago and brought inside the house for the Winter. Two days ago, I poured Sta-bil fuel additive in the gas tank and filled the gas tank up to the top. The instructions

Possibly you need to recharge your battery. if you set it on the bear floor, it has a tendency to draw down the charge in the battery. It also will loose the charge if it was low wneh you retired it for the winter.

your clutch may be burnt up, but try adjusting the clutch cable out a little more, or if you have a hydraulic clutch fill it with fluid and prime it.

Pulled battery 7 weeks ago. Re-installed battery and there is no power

Was the battery on a charger during the 7 weeks? If not then it has discharged. They all discharge even if disconnected. Charge it back up and it should be ok.

I have a slow oil leak on my toe shifter

hi there sounds like you have a weeping seal that stops the oil going past the shaft these get hard a worn or cracked easy fix take off the gear change lever ,then the cover then you should be able to see the seal arond the shaft, then you should see the oil leaking get a bent screw driver or proper seal remover and remove then clean in the hole place seal loctite onto the outer surface of the seal then find the old seal if not too bent out of shape to use to knock the other seal in noting not to damage new seal,if leak persists then the shaft maybe worn which this will need replacing . hope this helps

99 vz 800 marauder, the bike idles and revs up, it

Sounds fuel related. Pick up a can of a fuel system cleaner. Make sure the fuel is fresh and treat the fuel with the cleaner. Start and run the bike, rev the engine to get the cleaner moving through the fuel system. Ride it as best you can and see if the issue clears itself up.
