1999 Suzuki GSX 600 F (Katana) Questions & Answers
Cant accel faster than 6000 rpms on my 1999 600
Well one area I recommend you to check is the power jets in the carb. Overall check your jettings because you are starving on high end. To test try closing your choke half way and see if that gives you more pull ower over 6K rev. Good enough?
How do you see jf ecu is working
There are a number of subsystems, relays, sensors etc which should be ruled out before dishing out the $$$ for an ecu. I would highly recommend getting a service manual from, say amazon for example. It's the best money you'll ever spend on your totally cool bike.
Katana 600 manual
Did you charge it before you fitted it? It should be put on charge for 24 hours after the electrolyte has been added(acid). Then it should work. They don't come from the shop fully charged.
I have a 1998 Suzuki
A couple of possibilities. At the bottom of each carb there is a drain plug. Drain the carbs. Condensation in the gas tank can build up in the carb float bowls and only be a problem when in motion. Another possibility is the electronic ignition with an intermittent break down. Intermittent problems are the hardest to pin down. If draining the carbs doesn't fix it, it would be best to have a dealers service department take a look at it. Please rate my answer. Thanks.
99 katana fuel leak
Clean and tune the carburetors if they overflow. Renew any o-rings or rubber parts inside. Also check the fuel **** under the fuel tank for leakage.
I put new plugs in mygsx600f and it wont start
Obviously your no2&3 cylinders are dead.Take a new spark plug and stick it in the no2 plug cap.Touch the spark plug's tread to a bolt or nut on the engine and crank it.If you don't see spark on the spark's nose (which you most likely will), repeat procedure to no3 cylinder's spark plug cap. Both plugs are part of No 2 coil. The No1 coil feeds cylinders #1 & #4 cylinders.Find or borrow another pair, mostly all suzukis from that era, uses the same coils. If you see spark with the replacement, just means your one ignition coil is bad and you buy new oneIf you still don't see spark with the replacement coil, then the problem lies to your ECU.
