Hello Marius,Is this an issue that has unexpectedly came up, or has it been an issue throughout your whole experience with this particular bike?

Something like that sounds like he simply missed a connection on the upper harness. There is a connectors over and to the left side of the engine. Check all the connectors.
HOW TO REPLACE SPARK PLUGS
Follow this steps on how to replace the spark plugs,
1.
Locate your spark plugs before beginning. Accessing the spark plugs
can vary greatly depending on the model of motorcycle. The Ninja
series bikes place the spark plugs near the top of the motor, hidden
beneath the fuel tank and air box.
2.
Remove the seat and fuel tank. Locate the bolts that secure the fuel
tank to the frame and remove them with a socket wrench. Lift the
fuel tank upwards and disconnect the fuel lines. Pull the entire
tank away from the motorcycle and set it aside.

3.
Unscrew the air box lid with a screwdriver and remove. Remove the
air filter and locate the bolts that secure the air box to the
motor. Unscrew the bolts with a screwdriver and pull the air box off
of the motor. Take note of the locations of any wiring or hoses that
may be attached to the air box before disconnecting them.
4.
Pull the spark plug wire off of the first spark plug and clear the
plug cavity with compressed air to remove dirt or debris that may
been trapped. Remove the spark plug with a spark-plug socket. If
needed, use a socket extension to reach the spark plug in the
cavity.
5.
Insert a new spark plug into the cavity and carefully tighten with a
spark plug socket. Slide the spark plug wire onto the end of the
spark plug and press down until the wire clicks into place.
6.
Repeat as necessary for any remaining spark plugs. Reinstall the air
box and reconnect any hoses or wiring removed earlier. Insert the
air filter into the air box and seal the lid by tightening its bolts
with a screwdriver
7.
Reinstall the fuel tank, reconnecting the fuel lines and tightening
the mounting bolts with a socket wrench. Replace the seat.
Thank you
What would causes the brake & signal light not to work on a 2001 Kawasaki ZX-12R?
I had the same issue on my GL1800. Turns out I had a bad ground in the brake light circuit. It was my major pin connector under the seat. I'm sorry if this doesn't help, but it sounds like a bad ground.Try checking the connectors for the rear brakes. Disconnect and clean each pin connector. If that doesn't work, maybe run a jumper line from a brake light ground to a frame ground source. If the lights come back on, the ground is the issue.
Starter fuse blows

FAULT F1 ON ZX1200R I
Hello nick...
The
FI light is a generic fault indicator...an alert that tells you a malfunction has been detected by one of the sensors...You would have to go to a dealer to
have them hook up a scanner to get the exact code....A bad injector could be a
cause, Also a problem with the map in the ECU could be the cause...There are
other things but the best course of action is to see your local
dealer.
As far as a cost estimate, the diagnostic will run around a $100 ...labor rates and service charges vary from shop to shop...then add parts cost and labor to install after the problem has been detected, which is unknown at this time.
If you would like to try and do this yourself, i can give you a procedure to follow and you can retrive the codes without a scanner....let me know if you want more help...I hope this helps.
Headlights stop working checked the
You probably are dealing with a starter button issue. Your starter button is a two position switch. If you push the button in halfway it is supposed to turn the headlight off to supply more electricity to the starter and ignition. When the button is fully depressed it engages the starter solenoid to power the starter motor. Your switch is either dirty or broken. You can try disassembling and cleaning the contacts in the button to see if it will start working again. If the button is broken you will probably have to buy the entire right switch assembly to properly fix the problem.
Crackling sound in the chains
It sounds like the bike needs a new chain and probably new front and rear sprockets as well. The sprocket teeth should have a rounded blunt end. Do the replacement of chain and sprockets and then see if the tambourine has gone away. If not, I would dissasemble the rear wheel and brake for inspection. Loose or broken parts, wheel bearings gone bad or brake assembly problems may be present. Please rate my answer.
I have purchased a Ninga
sounds like the wiring loom has a short inside the insulation, or there is a short in one of the handle switches.
Check the wiring hasnt been jammed in the headset steering stop.
Check the handle switch blocks and make sure they are not clamping the wires when the are screwed together.
If the handle switch wires run inside the bars, pulll them out and check for damaged insulation
