Brandon, From Vulcan forum, one of the hoses that are hooked to the carb is a vent tube and may run up and under seat, if this hose is plugged or pinched it could cause similar issue to what you are experiencing. With this much info, its going to be hard to diagnose... Replace all 3 spark plugs with the correct "surface gap" ones. Make sure the battery is FULLY charged! Check the rotor button and the cap for signs of shorting..(dark streaks or smudges inside the cap). The rotor button and the cap condition are CRITICAL!

Test the compression...is oil sufficient to coat cylinderwalls. Make sure float level is correct n no vacuum leaks. Battery must always read 12.6v for acoil ign..noless. Buy a repairbook online forthat bike ...dont stray

Bad design of the trike. There should be no driveshaft movement between the engine and final drive that would allow it to move off the splines. Guessing it is something to do with excessive suspension movement.

Fuelflow is issue. Get anew valve or fawcett. Also inspect tank n hoses. Buy a clymerbook for rebuilt&repair

The alternator could be over charging.

With a volt meter or trouble light check for battery voltage at the ignition coils with the ignition switch at the on position . also check the cable terminals at the ignition switch and coils for tightness .

need to search for rattle -use a rubber mallet to tap frame in different areas for noise ---or if engine rattle low oil burnt damage valve -valve train
