Hey Fata.... PLEASE take the carb(or the whole bike) to a QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL... it will save you time and effort..carb work is NOT for amateurs..there is A LOT more to tuning/cleaning/setting a carb than a screw or two..

2004 kawasaki KX... | Answered on Jul 17, 2017 | 34 views

Hey Steve
Put a new spark plug in first...
... Sounds more like a fuel delivery issue... (the jests are in the carb and are considered one item). IF THE ENGINE HAS BEEN MODIFIED - FIND A REAL PRO THAT KNOWS HOW TO JET AN ENGINE - I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH - THIS IS not FOR AMATEURS!!
Make sure you have fuel flowing to the carb..(turn the gas off at the petcock - remove the gas line and then turn the gas on -- if its flows quickly and a full stream - turn the gas off, reconnect the gas line. Now, on to the carburetor... IF you are a great mechanic, you can clean and set the carb..IF NOT - take it to a qualified pro!! After the carb is cleaned and set.. it should run great...
Please reply to me when you are done with these steps..

A couple of possibilities; install a new air filter. The old one may be partially blocked up due to not being fully dried out. Drain the carburetor float bowl. Water can collect in the bowl and cause the symptoms you describe. If you have already drained the carb, re-drain it. It may also be that the carb needs to be disassembled and cleaned. A bit of trash may be blocking a jet.

ok, its been a while, but if i remember right, on one end of the shock you should see a series of "notches". what you'll need is a spanner wrench to rotate the shock until it catches on the right "notch" for the ride hight you want. hope this helps

if the bike is to small for your the BEST thing to do is move up in bikes, if you can ride a 85 you'll have no problem on a 125, if your feet dont reach ground thats fine your are not on the ground when your flying in the air over that 100 foot double.
Good luck

probably not the timing.
what happened when it stopped?
maybe the carb has flooded the crankcase, or something more serious with the piston and rings.
does it kick over with the plug out( make sure the plug is in the plug cap and grouded when you try this )

hi, you can get a cylinder repaire kit, but first of it would be recomended you remove the cylinder and check the bore for any damage or pitting due to corrosion and iregular fluid changes, paul

sounds like u have a crank seal going bad sometimes you can put the old one back in place and fix all the extra oil in the exhaust it would be the seal on the right side of the bike. sounds like the seal came out if you get to much fuel in the case it could cause the seal to pop out I would ck that first any questions send me a email i will be happy to help.

32:1--40:1 any less than 40:1 And you take risk of damaging engine(crank and top end),Any more than 32:1 and it will smoke real bad and foul spark plugs alot.....
