What would causes the brake & signal light not to work on a 2001 Kawasaki ZX-12R?

I had the same issue on my GL1800. Turns out I had a bad ground in the brake light circuit. It was my major pin connector under the seat. I'm sorry if this doesn't help, but it sounds like a bad ground.Try checking the connectors for the rear brakes. Disconnect and clean each pin connector. If that doesn't work, maybe run a jumper line from a brake light ground to a frame ground source. If the lights come back on, the ground is the issue.

All my lights just went out except my turn signals what could it be? i have a 2003 zx 12

If everything like the dash and other lights work except the headlights, check the fuses first then the high beam switch for faulty contacts inside most likely. Either take the switch apart or spray contact cleaner (can get from radio schack) into the switch while flipping it on/off high/low beam several times to clean it.

All have blown strangely enough?? You have a short circuit, quit installing higher rated fuses find the shorted wire. You are going to start an electrical fire if you keep this up.

FAULT F1 ON ZX1200R I

Hello nick... The FI light is a generic fault indicator...an alert that tells you a malfunction has been detected by one of the sensors...You would have to go to a dealer to have them hook up a scanner to get the exact code....A bad injector could be a cause, Also a problem with the map in the ECU could be the cause...There are other things but the best course of action is to see your local dealer.
As far as a cost estimate, the diagnostic will run around a $100 ...labor rates and service charges vary from shop to shop...then add parts cost and labor to install after the problem has been detected, which is unknown at this time.

If you would like to try and do this yourself, i can give you a procedure to follow and you can retrive the codes without a scanner....let me know if you want more help...I hope this helps.

Headlights stop working checked the

You probably are dealing with a starter button issue. Your starter button is a two position switch. If you push the button in halfway it is supposed to turn the headlight off to supply more electricity to the starter and ignition. When the button is fully depressed it engages the starter solenoid to power the starter motor. Your switch is either dirty or broken. You can try disassembling and cleaning the contacts in the button to see if it will start working again. If the button is broken you will probably have to buy the entire right switch assembly to properly fix the problem.

Crackling sound in the chains

It sounds like the bike needs a new chain and probably new front and rear sprockets as well. The sprocket teeth should have a rounded blunt end. Do the replacement of chain and sprockets and then see if the tambourine has gone away. If not, I would dissasemble the rear wheel and brake for inspection. Loose or broken parts, wheel bearings gone bad or brake assembly problems may be present. Please rate my answer. tombones49_195.gif

I have purchased a Ninga

sounds like the wiring loom has a short inside the insulation, or there is a short in one of the handle switches.
Check the wiring hasnt been jammed in the headset steering stop.
Check the handle switch blocks and make sure they are not clamping the wires when the are screwed together.
If the handle switch wires run inside the bars, pulll them out and check for damaged insulation

2003 model f1 light turned

FI stands for Fuel Injection. The fuel system sensors have detected a problem. It could be anything > a dirty air filter restricting airflow, a plugged injector, an error in fuel mapping, any number of things. Serious problems can trigger the computer to prevent the engine from starting until the problem is fixed. You will need to take the bike to a dealer to have them plug in a code reader. The code reader will tell you exactly what problem has been detected. There is also a chance a sensor has gone bad and is giving a false signal. Keep that in mind. Now determine if you want to do the fix or have the dealer do it. Please rate my answer.

I'm installing an integrated tail/signal

No, it doesn't sound right. All you should have to do with the original lights is unplug the wires and remove the lights from the bike. The new wires should just plug right in. I would not cut the original wires. I would either return the new light set or find a junk bike and cut 6" leads from the wires then splice the leads to the new wires. Use a crimp connector on the splices. A local bike dealer can likely help you find a junk bike or direct you to a motorcycle salvage yard. Please rate my solution. Thanks.

I am having brake problems

It may be caused by these : air trapped into the system, a worn out master cylinder and lastly it could be a leak.Make sure there is enough brake oil in the reservoir(or oil storage) or else restart by draining the system and bleed again...This should solve your problem.
