2001 kawasaki ZX-6R Ninja - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Is there only gas in tank or some dieselor other like sugar..checplugs for black or gunk. Inspect cuts in wiring or loose screws

I understand that you have checked the:

• battery - that it is fully charged and that the cables & terminals / connectors are clean and tight;
• fuses - including the 30 Amp main fuse;
• starter relay - there is +12 on the white wire.

Should the above hold true, then the only remaining components to suspect / check would be the always on +12 connectors and/or the ignition switch.

Check all shifting bearings and links, clutch and clutch cable.

buy a genuine manual for your bike before attempting to fix any wiring.

After u rebuild the carbs and it dont clear it out check ur cdi they are known to do crazy things!

Buy a test pro tester and check for continuity onthe wires

So it must be running lean.

hi try the ign coils first, they. may be split around the case, if so they will short out. hope this helps

Replace it and check out your alternator output.

spray wd 40 on conections it dispaces water and it will dry it out cool also make sure batt cabels are clean

check sidestand switch

Better get the full info from the oem manual. Try tradebit or http://myxmanuals.com. They both have zx6r manuals. I found one here for 2000-2002 and here for 2002-2005. Could be as simple as a blown fuse.

Only way I know is by removing the pump and inspecting the impeller for pitting and/or wear. Also checking the impeller for excessive side to side and in and out play.

Yeah,..thats most likely the reason. Id be replacing that relay.

The return springs are on the gearchange shaft...inside the inner drive casing.

Sounds to me you need to check your spark plugs
