On the Bayou 220 you have 2 wires from the Ignition Switch. If I was you I would wire them 2 to a toogle switch or push bottom start.

there both the same bike. the one you have to look out for is the zx6rr that is the 599cc. the differences are in the engine and swing arm. no body differences. I also have a 01 zx6r!

Oil is a lot cheaper than metal.Buy the best that is recommended for your bike

A couple of things here, the frst is you should never rev your bike standing still in nuetral to 11K, unless of course you love to go throught the time and expense of building a new motor! Next bear in mind this motor turns up best between 6 and 10K. However what you may be finding is the bike is struggling for air. Yes air, because under normal conditions, even first gear, you are moving fast enough for the ram air to provide additional air.

There is no way to be sure without doing the download. You can always delete it if in a foreign language. The really good thing is that now you can fix a whole lot more than just a brake light.

The shifting problem is a bent shift fork. It will only get worse and is expensive to fix. The smoke is probably getting past a exhaust pipe gasket. When you fix the shifting it would be a good time to rebuild the top end with new pistons and rings.

Sounds like you have stretch the chain sometimes this is cause by overtighting lack of lube or just alot of miles on chain.You can take a link out if you want to but its not recommended.

your lights should always work with the key in on position for safety reasons, eg if you had to pull over and it was dark you would turn the engine off but would still need lights.

Dealers usually have these paints. Alternative is to use the high temp engine block paints.( AutoZone, Advance Autoparts..)

You will have to overhaul that caliper, you will need the repair kit...once its broken apart check the piston for any blurr and pits, it should be smooth all the way..no pits or rust and blurrs.

Sorry the only way to get to the shifter fork in the trans is to remove the engine and take the top end off and split the case's. That's a huge job and cost's allot to do.

Maybe airlock in the block, take the radiator cap off and check the water level, also check level in water bottle. check the connection is tight on the temperature sender on back of the block

Without a damper, the only other thing you can do is ensure tire pressure is correct and have a shop fine tune the balancing on both wheels. Tell them to speed balancing machine as fast as it can go.

Try this: remove your air-filter (prob. located under seat) and spray starter fluid in there. This should start it up and might clean out the problem. Make sure all gas lines are turned on as well. Sometimes after motors sit too long the mechanical parts tend to build up a thin layer of film and rust which causes them parts to stick or clog tiny air/fuel holes. If you can get it started with the starting fluid the motor self lubricants and the suction the bike creates might pull the rest of the debris threw and spit it out your exhaust.

Classic cause is pressure balance pipe from ram air inlets being disconnected or blocked at the filter in Y piece connector

purchase a can of Seafoamfrom Autozone$10 pour in 1/3 can to two gallons gas get on it right away and get it to speed a few times...it took me 10 miles before my hesitation problem went away. did you check or replace your plugs yet? plugs are only good for about 7/8000 miles.
