2000 kawasaki ZX-9 R Ninja - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Zx9r specs
Sounds like you have an issue with spark plugs or coil packs. Check the coil packs are correctly pushed onto the plugs. If they are take out the plugs and check their condition. If all seems fine start the engine and run it for a while then check the down pipes of the exhaust (carefully) to see if they are all equally hot. A cooler pipe will show it isn't firing on all cylinders. If one is cooler go back to the coil packs and swap them around noting which came from where. Then repeat the test again. If a different pipe is cooler replace the faulty coil pack.
If the sparks and coils are not the issue, it will likely be an issue with the carbs. You could try a fuel treatment to clean them out or manually clean them if you are confident enough. Also check the obvious - battery terminals are they tight and clean.

How to fit rear brake pad retainer clip
If the clip has a slot in it then it fits in the caliper where the ends of the pads fit.
If not & it has a sprung tab then it fits in the caliper where the top of the pads fit
Hope this helps.
(If it does then please mark this as 'useful')

2000 ZX9R Bike overheating and the coolant comes out of the reservoir top line.
make sure that the thermostat is working and opening to let the flow of water in the engine, if it's ok you should start it and let it warm up and see if the cooling fan starts when temperature reaches close to 98 degrees, is it doesn't and the coolant boils then you have to change the temperature sensor as it is faulty.

Wont crank in gear changed
I am not 100% on this one but I have owned several newer models 06 09 and 2010 and they all had cut out switches or kill switches if clutch wasn't pulled in or if stand was down they would not be able to start...
So called safety devices they were called but damn annoying I felt no doubt you feel the same
they all could be bypassed but in my experience bikes and their electrics should never be altered unless essential or your a master electrician
I am assuming your bike runs and starts well with clutch in and in neutral and with stand up ??
maybe ring your Kwaka dealer to confirm as I said I not certain when these safety switches started to be installed
Where could i have an electrical drain
the rectifier or voltage regulator may be draining the battery, even if the charging system seemes ok.adding a ignition powered relay could stop it but replacing the bad part is the best.a solenoid switch that is turned on by a simple relay that gets its power when key is on would do it.
No. 1 carburator loads up only when idleing or low
how's the plug look, float could be stuck, or hieght not set correctly. tab on float is bent leaving the fuel needle open slightly, or check synchroization of all 4 carbs and the choke linkage to all 4 carbs. choke could be full or partially turned on for that carbs .
good luck

My x19 pocket bike wont start at all even when i
It could be a bad starter relay but I am suggesting the bike has a bad battery. Bad batteries will not take a charge. Is the battery two or more years old? The older the battery, the more likely it has gone bad.

I want to adjust my vales on my motorcycle
Coming from a previous ninja owner/rider. I know adjusting the valves is a project to get the mixture just right. If you say it is running fine, I would leave it alone. It you are really looking for more power, get a jet kit which comes specific for your bike and includes a bunch of different sized jets. But my honest opinion even after reaching 20,000 miles on this bike, if it isn't broken don't change it. The best way to learn is to meet a bike mechanic and become friends with him to learn more. There are usually 3 valves that control different RPM mixtures, a low mixture knob controls RPMs from idle-6k- mid knob from 6-9 and high knob that controls the fuel-to-air mixture at high RPMs from 9-12k+ rpm's. This is just one example and they are all different. Basically you test your RPM range, adjust the knob, and repeat until you find the right feel. Too much or too little gas it will get boggy in that RPM region. Oh and don't turn the high mixture valve thinking it's the low, get a repair manual online to locate the proper knobs and you could do it yourself.
