Have a 2000 kawasaki ninja zx6 bike spudders .. so

G'day,
I have a suggestion.
It worked with no airbox( airbox lid I guess you mean).
Then I would think that your problem would almost certainly be a blockage or restriction to the air flow entering the airbox intake.
Look in the airbox, with the lid off-And see where the air enters the box- the air ducts on each side.
Make sure these are clear of any obstruction.
Check the air intake vent in the front of the fearing for obstructions.
I feel pritty sure you'll find your problem here(I hope!).
See how you go
Kind regards Andrew Porrelli

Hi, best thing is to get the tyre removed and fitted at a reputable garrage, not sure if you have a brand new wheel, in which case you will need to remove and replace the bearings and seals from the wheel, seals just push in and bearings are a tight fit and often need renewing when removed, fit into new wheel in the same way, using a lite grease when re fitting, most discs are handed left and right, locate the direction of rotation markings which you will find on one of the spokes on the wheel, remove discs 1at a time and replace on to new wheel on the same side as that it was previously fitted on the old wheel, good luck

I can get my j1

Has the bike been setting up over winter or for a length of time over a couple weeks, with gas in the gas in the tank? If so, the ethanol additive to gas has caused the fuel to gum up and block carb jets and passages. My recommendation, if setting up is the case is to put a can of SeaFoam in the fuel tank, shake the bike back and forth to mix the fuel and SeaFoam. Start the bike and run at high idle for a few minutes. Shut it down and let set a couple hours and start and run at high idle again. Repeat this several times trying to accelerate. If it's a gum problem, it should clean itself up with one can of SeaFoam. If it doesn't, it could be an adjustment problem, or the carbs will need a manual cleaning.

My 2000 zx-6 is running hot and fans not running

Try to unplug the ventilator and give it directly 12V DC. If it alone works, then your problem is your temperature sensor.

Are the spark plugs easy access to change

I haven't worked on a ninja of this year, but most sport bikes this year require you to remove the seat, then tank, then air box, and the spark plugs should be accessable at that point. It's not difficult, but usually takes a couple hours if you're being careful. Make sure your gentle with the fuel lines.

Start with plugs. If this don't do it. You may have some bad parts in your carbs. Think about having them rebuilt not just cleaned.

Stop riding the bike. The tranny could lock up at any moment > like at 60 mph in traffic. The gearbox will need to be opened upand the problem located and fixed. The fix is not going to be cheap $$$$

96 Ninja zx6r Fuel Tank breather hose leaking gas

It sounds like that hose which runs fron the cap area (inside) the fuel tank to the back bottom is broke, if you take it to a Kawasaki dealer and have your dealer call Kawasaki there is a good chance it will get covered as long as the tank is damaged. Those hoses (metal) that run inside the fuel tak sometimes crack, there is really not way of fixing them unless you cut the tank open and then you would need to reweld it.

When it idles its fine i can **** the gas no

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, check the burn color of the spark plug tips to determine if it is lean or mix. If lean, then a possibility for the bogging down would be an air leak. The air leak could be from the warped / out of position coupling tubes from the air box, airbox cover, torn air filter or even installing aftermarket free breather air filters similar to K & Ns (with having done a re-jetting/tuning).

Additionally, you could drain the carb bowls individually to determine the quantity and quality of fuel from each.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

How do i replace front indicators on 2000 zx6r

There is a small 2 pole connector that lives between headlight and air intake for each side. If you can reach this plug and undo it then prise the indicator off the fairing. Or take the front fairing off the bike and do it with ease
