Hi
My 98 ZX6R seems to
Replace the HT Spark Plug leads and caps. It sounds like they are arcing in the wet.
Hope that helps and ride safely.
White froth in oil cap
If the head gasket it OK and the coolant level is not going down, it can only be condensation.
I would, to protect your engine, drain the oil and flush it through with detergent flushing oil and then refill with a semi synthetic multigrade and keep your eye on it.
If the water stays in the oils all you will be doing is cooling the bearings, not lubricating them.
Hope that helps and ride safe.
My 1993 ninja zx6c will not start if I have my gas
Most likely a bad petcock or a plugged fuel filter if equipted with one. Try a IV bottle to get gas to the carbs if this works then you will know it is somewhere before the carbs if not then your carbs may need to be cleaned and adjusted. I hope this helps.

Hi,
Colorrite does the Kawasaki paint codes for this bike. I believe this is the correct link for your ZX636 which is listed as Kawasaki ZX-6R (636).
There is a lime green colour associated with the 2005 year bike and other colours and paint codes for that model and year at this link.

If that does not look right to you try their 'Paint Wizard' where you can input all the details yourself.

The site also has some very good information on proper use of primer and basecoats as well.

My 01 kawasaki Ninja zx600e9
The low speed/idle jets in the carb/carbs are in need of proper cleaning and the float seal need to be replace as well, Best bet would be a total carb rebuild.
The bike will run directly
Hi, i would get all the wires checked to make sure none have come loose from the battery then you will need to get the power tested at the battery to see if the generator is giving back any charge to the battery if its not then the chances are this will need replacing.
check all wires first and make sure they are all fitted correctly before you start spending money getting it fixed as some wires tend to work loose.
let me know if you need further assistance ok
plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Its flashing f1 what does that mean on my kawasaki
the flashing " f i " light on the spedo is the "fuel injection" on-board diagnostic system light, suggestion: check under the seat there is a yellow wire coming out of the ECU that is touhed to chasis ground in order to retreve the trouble codes, the wire may be pinched and contacting ground, causing the light to flash codes.
98 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R choke problem.
It sounds as if the choke is stuck in the open position, this will do exactly as you describe check in the thottle area behind the air cleaner, you will see a butterfly that moves back and forth when you move the choke lever, make sure this is opening and closing all the way>>>.
Good Luck,

There is a FL light on the dash that stays on when
FI means
Fuel Injection. The
computer chip that controls the fuel injection system on your
bike has detected a problem. It could be major or minor. You will need to take the bike to a dealer and have them read the codes to find out exactly what the problems are.
Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?
I want to jump the ign switch to find out if it is bad
the haynes covers this model i think and you can download the service manuals - too much juice goes through the switch to just "jump" it without risk, use a meter without the battery connected and see if the switch connetcs/disconnects at the switches connectors inside the bar grip..
