I popped my seat off
you have probably sorted this out by now, anyway its easy to say replace in reverse order, so i wont,
you dont say what bike it is fitted to, i would first sugest you have a look at the undeside of the seat, you want to observe at the front of the seat, you will find a forward facing lug of plastic, (if your seat is plastic) around the tank area," on the frame you should see a cross member that the tank itself bolts to", the plastic lug should fit under this first, holding up the rear of the seat slightly, slide the lug under the crossmember untill it is forward as far as it will go then lower the rear of the seat into place you should hear a clicking noise as the seat locks into place WARNING MAKE SURE THE BIKES KEYS ARE IN THE IGNITION AND NOT UNDER THE SEAT AT THIS POINT. Seats do varey and some have more than 1 front fixing, some are made from steel, some hinge, and some bolt instead of locking, some have obscured bolts behind panels, and so on, ask yourself how easy did it come off. if you are still having problems with this seat contact me with make and model and i will do my best to help, good luck and happy motoring, paul
