Excessive vibration 2008 Honda VT 750 Shadow Aero
Look for intake leaks spray carb cleaner around the intake boots being careful not to get any near the mouth of the carbs. If there is a leak the rpms will change. Check the pipes careful not to get burnt but check for the same temperature on both pipes. If one is a lot hotter. You have a problem with the colder cylinder(compression, spark or air fuel mixture) If it has all 3 of those in the correct specification it will run. If all that checks out then sync the carbs. 2nd response: The timing gets a signal from the pickup coil. That could be bad. If it is single coil it will affect both cylinders. Both fire at the same time. One plug is a wasted spark because it is on the exhaust stroke. Dual pick up coils would fire each cylinder independent of the other. You could also check the fuel lines and make sure there is no obstruction or drawing in air. Check the float height to see that your bowls aren't running out of fuel. I should have mentioned this first but make sure your plugs and wires are in god shape. If it is hard to start and gets worse the warmer the engine gets check the valve lash. Hope that helps. I am out of ideas on what it could be if not any of those.
2005 Honda VT 750 Shadow Aero cuts out
I would bridge the starter relay to see if it cranks (use pair of pliers to touch battery side to motor side, expect few sparks). If it cranks that rules out battery issue and terminals to battery. If you pass that test ok then move onto next solution.
(next solution)
Im thinking you should take a look at the "block connector" coming from the switch gear with the starter button on. Could be corrosion built up in this connector preventing continuity. Also check for corrosion or crud built up within the switch gear itself. Pay attention to back of the starter button connection points.
Gas leak
check the needle and seat for dirt if carby as leaning the bike over may be just pressure from the float to stop the leak
My honda shadow areo will
Could be one of two things. Bad ignition switch or you have an intermittent short somewhere on the main harness.
I would check that all your electrical connections are tight, clean, and are well grounded to the frame. Maybe even check the ignition switch for any loose wiring. Inspect and clean all electrical connections (especially on the ignition switch) with electrical cleaner
2006 Honda Shadow aero 750 Problems starting
If the problem start after putting Vance & Hines Pipes, then try to sync the carbs, if not possible (meaning turning the sync screw all the way and cant sync them), reJet the carbs with 1up, slow and main Jet.
I recently changed the oil on my 2005 Honda Shadow
If you have a fuel pump, that could be the problem. If the pump is not working, only 1 cylinder will get some fuel. Maybe water came into electrical part of the pump and shot the fuse, just check the pump operation.
Honda 750 gas leak from carb
First of I,d just give the carb a few light taps with small hammer when engine is running it usually unsticks the needle and seat and it then clears and clean lts self. If dosn ,t work then clean pull apart carbies and blow out with compressor try easy way first half the time it works good luck neil
80 XL500S Bike runs few minutes and dies like its out of gas
I,v got one as well 2 things can cause that, petrol or spark, check to see if the float is set right height and needle and seat aren't blocked and only letting a tiny amount of fuel threw you should pull carb apart and give it agood blow out with compressed air and clean the jets I think there are 2 if remembered if its starting, normally its a fuel problem could be tank tap halved booked as well normal on bikes been sitting awhile then after that get anew spark plug sometimes they start breaking down when get hot 9 times out of ten that's your problem any way try that it should work good luck

Sounds like a bad ground. Check your ground wire, it should be near your battery. It will be connected to the frame with a bolt take it off a clean it and the frame with wire brush. Make sure you clean it to down to bare metal.
