Hi, Edeering447 the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee of $15 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available and some were never printed in English. The Indian and Philippine markets are usually in E-book format only, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download.

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
2. Failed alternator/generator and or voltage regulator.
3. Loose or corroded battery terminals and or cables especially the "NEGATIVE" cable, look for loose, corroded, or broken connectors inside the cable harness at "BOTH" ends.
4. Failed main circuit breaker or ignition switch, check for loose connections and continuity.
5. Failed system and or ignition relay, check for continuity.
6. Failed ignition coil, stator, magneto, ignition/electronic module.
7. Failed CKP, CPS, CMP, MAP, TPS, or BAS sensor, corroded, loose or broken wire connector pins/sockets.
8. Throttle cables and or idle speed improperly adjusted hot idle speed should be 950 RPM to 1000 RPM.
9. Faulty neutral, side stand or clutch lever safety switch.
10. Air/fuel mixture screw improperly adjusted.
11. Accelerator pump damaged or not working.
12. Water or dirt in the fuel system, carburetor or filter.
13. Restricted, blocked or kinked fuel line.
14. Fuel tank empty.
15. The gas cap is not venting properly or fuel tank venting system blocked.
16. A failed fuel pump, pressure regulator and or fuel injectors.
17. Vacuum line from intake manifold to petcock broken, cracked, or not attached, carburetor vent line plugged.
18. Needle and seat stuck closed in the float bowl.
19. Lean angle switch is faulty or needs adjustment.

Hi, Anonymous your bike starts great when cold but once it reaches operating temperature and the engine is shut off for a few minutes then you try to restart it and it will turn over but will not fire or it doesn't do anything, the usual suspects are:
1. When electronics get hot they build up resistance then stop working. It might be an ignition coil, stator, CDI unit etc. First, you must find out if the spark dies out. When the bike won't start, pull a plug wire off, stick a new spark plug in the end and ground the threads on bare metal while someone cranks the engine over. You should see a nice big blue spark between the spark plug gap. Incorrect spark plug gap will cause or contribute to a no start when hot issue.
2. Fuel Tuners have been known to cause this type of problem, disconnect it and see if resolves the issue.
3. Any engine management sensor could be faulty especially the ones that monitor temperature.
4. Gas cap not venting properly, improperly routed fuel lines they must always go down from the gas tank to the carburetor never in any kind of a loop this will cause a vapor lock. Clogged, bent, kinked, pinched or restricted carburetor vent lines will do the same.
5. Overhead camshaft valves adjusted too tight when cold, this will cause loss of compression when hot, except for pushrod engines they usually get looser when hot.

Hi James, for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix or parts inquiry. If necessary transport your vehicle to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your issue. Good luck and have a nice day. 2004 Honda Motorcycle Service Repair Workshop Manuals

Actually, you can bypass the switch.

The method depends on if the switch is normally open, or normally closed (electrical switch terms)

Once you find the switch, unplug the two wires from it, let them hang without contacting anything, and see if the bike starts.
If so, you can just electrical tape the ends of the two wires to insulate them, until you can get a new switch.

If not, get a paper clip, and connect both wires at each end of paper clip.
What you are doing here is using the paper clip as a jumper between the two wires.

Now see if the bike starts.
If so, you can join them (until you can get the switch replaced) with one of these:

The cold start valve could need replacing. Also when cold, condensate gets on the wiring causing it to run rough until things warm up. Try covering it up at night. Check your plugs are OK.

Well, what I can see regardless whether it is a new or old battery, when you put it on a charger that are not automatic, it would ruin your battery elements. You can take the battery to a battery shop and have them tested it. If it is still good then do you notice a clicking (cranking sound0 when you try to start the bike? If not then check your starter solenoid as it may not power enough the starter.
Cheers

Hi I am Vortash common fault with this model bike was the ignition switch a quick test is put a meter across the the battery .. you should read 12 -13volts if the voltage drops when the ignition is switched it's usually is ok but not allways it is just a quick check sometimes it is intermittent now see how far the voltage drops if it is considerable chances are you have a short .. usually the rectifier or the starter feel the battery see if it is getting warm with the ignition on this will also indicate a short .. check for bad earth connections particarly from the battery to the frame.. Check all fuses in this country there was one on the main lead from the battery .. hope this helps regards Vortash
