2004 Honda CR 250 R Questions & Answers
How do I change shock spring on a 2004 cr250
Remove your seat, and subframe from the bike, followed by the shock. The shock has a bolt at the top and bottom holding it in place. Remove the shock bolts and remove the shock.
The shock has two locking rings at teh top of the spring. You need to spin the two apart, which you will normally need a hammer and punch to do to get them seperated. Spin the top ring anti closkwise, to loosen it off as much as possible. Then loosen off the second ring and the spring will be free floating.
Loosen off the circlip holding the spring at the bottom of the spring. Once this is off, slip the spring over the shock housing and you are done. Assembly is the reverse process, but be sure to check your sag on teh rear shock once you have re-installed a spring.
How do you set the float on a cr250r
The floats dont often change their setting, so are usually left alone. The float needle has a neoprene tip, that isnt going to wear into the seat, and a spring tip on the other end, so they dont change.
Usually if the bike floods, the carb needs cleaning, occasionally you need to buy a new needle and seat.
The floats and needle cannot wear and create a lean mixture.
Sorry if I didnt answer the question "how to set the float"
I have a 2003 honda 250 2stroke that shut down on
5th gear pinned usually will starve the engine for the fuel mix, meaning not enough oil, meaning you probably melted the piston, or destroyed the rings, and maybe the cylinder also. No two stroke is made to be held wide open foe any lenght of time, and if you are already running a little lean, this is what happens. Tear it down, and look, and mearure the ring gap if averything seems o.k.
I am 220 lbs. B/C rider what is a good clicker
set your rear for full comp dampen, and change to a higher oil in the shocks like a 15 or 20 wt and set to full damp. ride and lower the dampening a click at a time until your landings feel soft and smooth. if you are bouncing after landings raise the rebound dampener also.
I am having problems with oil leaking from the
Obviously tsantawirya doesn't know what a 2 stroke is.
Run 40 or even 50:1. You can do it without hurting anything. Also, check your silencer packing. It may be saturated.
A little drippage isn't uncommon on any 2 stroke.
Cluch is sticking
Check cable by disconnecting from gearbox and try, should be smooth.
