On my honda vtx 1800 how do i get the battery out
Take off your side covers, take out the two bolts holding the driver seat down, remove the driver seat, remove the battery cover bolt, unbolt the battery cables , and lift the battery up out of the battery box.
Plug on right side back cyclinder very dark
Your motorcycle has two spark plugs per cylinder. Both spark plugs share a similar coil. If one of the two spark plugs is burning a different color from the other on the same cylinder then you either have one bad plug or one bad cap/wire. The wire and cap are one piece on your model. So you can buy a wire assembly from Honda or try just putting an NGK cap on the end of your old wire. The cap on the wire should test at 5000 OHMs anything higher or lower and you replace the cap. Of course the cheapest option is to just try a new plug first. The resister can burn out in a plug causing the same issue.
Can I adjust the alignment
TIRE PRESSURE IS OME MAIN PROBLEM...APPLY MORE THAN WHAT IT CALLS FOR.."OVER INFLAT"..38-42 lbs
some say that the stock tires are to blame...ask around to those whom have switched to different brand /style tires
one odd therory is the exhuast pipes cause the weight shift....were the bike wants to go right if handle bars are let loose...
make sure that the forks have prper oil/pressure levels
Wont start and headlights wont
starter button possible is bad but, head lights are on a different circuit. most likely u have cut or broken wires in the housing were the switch is. if u made any changes at the bars or housing it is easy to pinch wires.
Tires
take it to the bike shop, it is not an easy task if you don't have the right equipment for the job, trust me I have tried it
Headlight not working
If you did these things what are the results, a new bulb and good voltage would end in a bulb that works. If positive power to run the bulb is there a groung to the bulb is also needed.
I recently bought a 2003 Honda Vtx 1800s. when I
run a stringline around the wheels, check wheel alignment, check wheel bearings, tyre wear. swingarm bearings, bent handle bars, fork twist. stand back and see if it looks staight
some bikes will have some throttle effect when turning, if you thottle off, it may drop further into the corner, but check all others first, could be something dangerous
