2003 Honda XR 125 L oil change

There is a large "bolt" under the bottom of the engine... remove it and the oil comes out. > The neutral detent plunger might be under there too...... If a plunger and a spring come out... don't fret...its ok... just let the oil drain out..when it is done draining.. re-install the plug, ..add 1.2 quarts of 10-w30 and you are done.

I just picked up a 1976 honda xr75 I'm getting no spark I have Ben checking all other things was wondering if the neutral switch had a wire off it or how it worked or if it could cause a lack of spark

A bad neutral switch itself won't cause no spark, but it the lead were to come off and short against something (depending if it's wired into the same circuit as the ignition), that could cause a problem.

Honda xr125 L blowing 15amp fuse while i was riding no lights or starter or horn

Sounds like a short like the insulation on wire rubbed off. Could also be a loose connection on either the hot or ground side of light circuit. This would blow a fuse.

I got a 1995 cr250 dirtbike and i have a problem

im thinking if it has spark and getting gas and has compression, the bike will run. sometimes a "WEAK" coil will give a good spark, but under compresion its not enough to ignite the fuel. if thats not the case, take the air filter off and spray starting fluid into the carb and with NO CHOKE, give it full throttle and kick it over. if that dont do it try compression starting it, tow it for some distance if you have to. if that dont do it, then there must be something wrong with the carb. jets, fuel air adjustment. thats all i have. good luck.

On a Honda XR 125

you must have the wiring on wrong somehow. spark plug still good? wires get wet inside? you should use the terminal grease/lube it gives you better connection and surprisingly changes bad situations.

I have a honda xr 125l 2003 which i bought in june

Hello epsom...you really should purchase the shop manual so you could see the illustrations and the step by step procedures on how to align timing marks and properly gap your piston rings. Plus so much more info that you are going to need to do the job right. Plus the manual has the torque specs. and the sequence---There is not enough room here to give you all the info u will need. Here is a link for the manual online, you might can find it a bit cheaper on Amazon. i hope this helps.

Just rebuilding 2001 honda xr 80 and need to know

Valve timing is done with the piston at Top Dead Center. The cam lobes should be pointing downward. There will be a mark or marks on the cam gear for alignment of the gear. If only one mark, it should be at the top and inline with the centerline of the crankshaft. If two marks, they sholud be parallel with the surface of the cylinder. Any slack in the timing chain should be at the carb side. When the cam gear is in the proper position, rotate the cam slightly to line up the screw holes for mounting. After mounting, remove the spark plug and turn the engine over by hand to be sure the setting is correct. If the crankshaft locks up it is because the piston is hitting a valve. Re-do the cam timing. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

yes, clean out the carb if you add gas directly to the carb intake, and it runs for a few seconds and shuts off, then you know you have a gas supply problem at the carburetor.

1993 honda xr 125 runs strong but noticed metal

Metal shavings in the oil indicate a pretty serious problem. Where the metal is coming from is the question. Unfourtunately, if the problem is not located inside the right side engine cover where the clutch is, the motor must be torn completely down in order to find it. The more you ride the bike, the bigger the problem is going to get. The bigger the problem, the more it will cost to fix it. I would not hesitate to tear down the engine. The shavings are now in the crank bearings, clutch plates, top end and everywhere else. The inside of the engine will need to be cleaned out. The only way to do it is a complete teardown. The good thing is that while torn down you can install new crank bearings, output shaft bearings, OHC chain and tensioner, and all new seals. You will end up with a nearly new engine.

To fit front wheel bearings honda xr 125

Hello unless there something unusual about the front wheel.
bearing removal is not difficult
once you have the wheel off remove the seals on both sides.
remove any internal snap rings or retaining rings.
now the correct way to remove the bearings is with a bearing remover its a shaft with an expandable tip and a weighted slide. when the end is inserted into the center race of the wheel bearing then the shaft is turned to expand the expandable end locking it in place then you use the weighted slide on the shaft to drive it out.
replacing the bearings easiest way is ti use a press not everyone has one of those a bearing driver or and old socket can be used to drive in the new bearings just make sure it is smaller than the inside diameter of the bearing hole and just enough to make contact with the outer bearing race do not force or make contact with the center race.
Hope this helps you out

Hi. just gota second hand honda x8r wot runs ok

Could be any of the following: high voltage spark coil, ignition control box or the coil(s) under the flywheel/generator in the engine.Outside chance of a bad wire.
You can use the liquid spray from a can of "air in a can" upside down to cool the HV coil and ignition box to see if that will let the machine start right after it quits but use caution around the cooling spray as it will freeze skin and eyes fast.
You may also want to try and get a service manual and do the electrical resistance measurements on the above parts to see if they are out of spec when unit quits and then have a good dealer verify the part as good or bad but this is not an exact science. Also test with several meter as some will give you different reading of the some item.
