2002 Honda CR 250 R - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

The carb needs to be cleaned and cleaned correctly to make it idle. Also if it has any lose or broken vacuum lines, they need to be fixed or repaired because they will also cause idle issues.

Either the thermostat is not opening,the radiators need to be boiled,or you have a blown head gasket.

if you order the same coil the wires will be the same so EASY !

Dirty fuel system is one possibality.

Something broke in the crank case.

usually that means a frozen engine I hate to tell you. I would pull the spark plug, put marvel mystery oil, or 2 stroke oil, something light...then rock the bike and shift until you think you are in 5th gear then push the bike to see if the engine will turn over.

Usually the spring, located inside the side cover is broken...you would have to drain the oil...take the cover off, replace the spring, and new side cover gasket, and oil...

I would think the kickstarter spring, which is located inside the sidecover is broken, yep you would have to drain the oil..and take the side cover off, so you would also need a new side cover gasket,and more oil...and the spring...hope this helps.

If you look at the case , you should see a cast spacer in it. If the sprocket "Rocks" on the shaft, you may have some debris on the case mating face (the inside of the sprocket) - remove the sprocket and clean the shaft and mating face to make sure there is no debris. When the sprocket securing nut is fitted, the sprocket should have no noticeable rocking. Make sure the nut is torqued to the correct setting.

There are lowering kits available. But, your bike is for use as a competition machine. If it is too big for you then get a smaller bike.If you lower the machine it will no longer function in the way it was designed. In other words it will have less ground clearance, so it is a waste of time having this particular model. If you take some of the padding out of the seat and then recover it that should lower the seat height.

ANY thing can be done. somethings may be ezer then others. as far what your doing i have never done that swat but i would shot for moon. if a cr 500 motor can go in a cfr 250 frame and a zx 1100 in a zx 900 frame or a fzr 600 in a 400 frame Your swat should be fun and for the most part easy. Just take it easy use a rubber mallet!!!!!!!! it needs to come apart SQUARE!
if you have broken the seal all the way around & it feals jammed check that you have nothing still left to remove!
DONT use pry,s [screw drivers inbetween the cases]or you will never get the two halves to seal again!

take out all the gas and then clean the pipes and you should be sweet !

my quad runs fine on the kick start but when i do the elec start it truns over but wont start can u help me my quad is a corba 100cc auto 2004 mobel

Well, hopefully I am not helping you steal a bike, but the most effective say to do it is to disconnect the switch, and use a jumper wire to connect the two hot wires.

you might want to get a smaller shock or maby a spring to, not completly sure

What you need to do is adjust the rear wheel to take up the slack in the drive chain.
You by now have possibly ruined both the sprockets where the chain need to be securely located.
To take out the slack the wheel spindle will have to be loosened and adjusted by the two clamps around it they are on each side of the swing 10mm nuts used for this purpose.
To replace chain and sprockets the wheel needs to be removed so I suggest purchasing a Haynes manual or similar to study involvement.
