1997 Honda CBR 1100 XX Super blackbird only runs with choke
did you clean the carbs your self? it seems like the slow jets are blocked take them out and spray carb cleaner through them. if you cant see fluid going straight through they are blocked,, if so replace them or try find a strand of very fine wire to poke through them, i use an old throttle cable cut it and unravel the strands until you hasve a single one to pass through.
How do I remove the key assembly if the bike is in steering locked position?
Had a similar problem a couple of times, but not this model. The first time I removed the lock that locks the saddle down (same lock as ignition, Honda Wave 125) and took it to a locksmith who made a new key by looking down the barrel with a telescope type tool. He was good, even identified the bike that the lock came from.
The second time I took the whole bike along on the back of a pick-up and he made a new key the same as before.
The guy works from the pavement in Thailand. Hope you can find the same service where you live !!!
What are the fittings on either end of the clutch hose on my cbr1100
If it looks like a sherical rod end, it;s called a bango bolt (the bolt will have at least one side hole and the center will be drilled through to meet the side hole from the bottom. If it's a press-on fitting like a nico fitting, it will probably be propietory to Honda. A hydraulic shop might be able to supply you with what you need and assemble the new hose if you need one
HOW MUST THE PLUG WIRES
The wires should have little numbered tags on them 1-4. Number 1 cylinder is the furthest to the left of the engine and continues in order to the right. It is not like a car.
I have a 1997 Cbr Honda Blackbird. The fuel ****
Chances are what you are calling the "off" position is actually the "Reserve" position. Fuel valves usually have two inlet points. The top inlet section feeds the "On" position. The bottom inlet feeds the "Reserve" position. When the gas level in the tank gets lower than the "On" inlet, you must switch to the "Reserve" inlet to continue riding until you run out of gas or refill the tank. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Clay, you have a tiger by the tail. There are a lot of little parts to the carb system. I will try to assist you in the basics without carb removal. This may require a few replies back and forth. Start by turning off the gas then drain the carbs. Now turn on the gas and check to see that fuel flows into each carb. If gas starts flowing out of all the float bowls, now that the gas is back on, then all carbs are getting gas. To drain the carbs just remove the drain screw on the bottom of each carb float bowl. Two carbs have the drain screw on the left, two have it on the right side. Reply with what you find.
