Cbr 600 f3 carb problem
Inside of the carb is an inlet valve. Works like a toilet, with a float rising as fuel enters the float chamber..
Yes, is can be dirt, or a sunk float( meaning float absorbed fuel, and now wants to sink).
You need to remove the carb, and open it up to resolve this issue.
Can't remove seat from a 97 model
I think this is the model that you first need to remove the side panels from under the seat. With these removed you will see the 2 bolts (1 each side) that hold the seat to the frame.
My 95 f3 will crank but wont start. everything was
Sounds like a wire or plug got disconnected while changing the headlight out, the harness that connects to the clutch safety switch, the one that lets the ignition fire when cranking only when the clutch is pulled in. A safety feature so you don't dump the bike if you crank it while in gear.
Cant remove seat from cbr 600f
after you remove the 2 side tail pieces, there are 2 bolts (one on each side) that hold the seat in place. on my 1998 cbr600f3 it's 2 12mm bolts.
Gears are not catching
Sounds like you have a bent shifter fork that is not engaging 3rd gear. The stuttering is probably you rev limiter cutting in and out.
How are the chain adjustments on a cbr 1997 600 f3
First thing to do is not to ride the bike until the problem is fixed. A loose chain could lock up the drive sprocket and break the transmission case. If you are on the street at the time it locks up you are likely to be hurt or killed. In the image below note that there are two nuts on each adjuster. The inner nut adjusts the chain and the outer nut is to lock down the inner nut. Also note the "pins" on the two
tensioners ( #7 ). Be sure to tighten up the axle bolt after setting the chain tension. If the threads on the
tensioners are messed up you will need new
tensioners.

Is a honda 600f 1 down 5 up or 1 up 5 down for
If it is stock and aftermarket rearsets have not been installed then it is one down and five up. However, some riders like to reverse the pattern. So look at your shifter and see if it is stock on not. Also you can tell by shifting. Neutral is between first and second. find neutral - bike can be rolled without holding in the clutch (a little movement back and fourth can really ease your shifing efforts). the shift down, if you can only shift down once then you have the first gear. if you can shift more than once then first gear is up.
I have a 1997 honda cbr 600 and when in top gear
my bike had the same problem but it started at 8k and wouldnt make over 100...i took the carbs apart and found that the #1 main jet fell off into the bowl. if it was a fuel pump i think you would have a problem even in a lower rpm range.
No ignition lights or any other lights battery
I just came across a problem like yours on a cbr 600 F4i the dash was out, and it had no running lights in the back or brake lights, or turn signals either. It ended up being the right front turn signal. My customer had crashed and the wires were touching , thus shorting out the fuse. which is under the rider seat on the left side. It was a 10 amp fuse. you should have an extra one on there . hope it helps.

Gas leaking out of line after bike is running
If the gas is coming out of a drain line, it's from too much fuel in the carburator bowl. This is most likely due to a float sticking, so you need to clean them out. Be thorough so you only have to do it once.
Where is the fuel filter located on 1997 honda cbr
I have a 1996 CBR 600F3. Mine is directly under the gas tank. Where the gas tank meets the seat. If you remove the single top bolt for the gas tank and the lower bolt for the gas tank you can lift the tank a little. Then you will see the rubber gas fuel line. The filter will be in-line.
Blown the starter solenoid fuse, all other
Check the electrical system from the battery ground (at the engine) to the battery.
chech the wires from the battery thru the solenoid to the starter. See if the starter will operate when it is "shorted" (touch a (large) wire from the battery + terminal to the starter post) be careful not to touch anything else. If it works this way you need a solenoid. If not, have the starter checked out.
There usually is some reason for a blown fuse.
I need Dogbone bearing dimentions
The outside edge of all bearings have a maker and bearing number i.e. "NGK2604". Get the number then go to an industrial bearings company. They can look up the bearing and see if it is in stock and if not, they can look up a matching bearing from a different manufacturer i.e. " SAS3107". The actual dimensions will likely be available at the same location. By the way, most people have no idea what you mean by "dogbone". Do you mean the crankshaft main bearings?
Carbed engine stops dead after 10-20 seconds of running.
If it was the ignitor unit (I assume you mean the ECU) it wouldn't start at all.
Did you check the fuel pump and it's relay? If the bike was garaged for 2 years you should recalibrate your carbs. If there was gas in them all that long they need to be cleaned.
