My honda 400 bros is not runing right 1 plug is
Sooted plugs proves tht the air-mixture is too rich.(too much fuel going to the combustion chamber)
You have to set the air-mixture screw on the carb/s.
Clean the carb/s, replace 'inline' filter , if you don't have one ..install one, reset float level.
It's better to also check the valve clearance too.
Fit in new plugs (gapping them to specs.) and run the engine to its normal temperature thn set the air-mixture screw...standard setting....all the way in i.e. tighten it slowly to the end making sure not to damage the tip of the screw, thn 2 and half turns outwards to 3.
Start the engine....run to normal temperature and thn reset the air-mixture screw +/- either way.
Hope this helps!
I want to replace my old chain with a new one how
To replace the main drive chain, you need to remove the chain cover on the engine case which should have a couple of bolts or screws securing it. Loosen the back wheel by untightening the rear axle bolts and then loosen the rear adjusters either side. Make a note of their positions they need to be be the same position either side, although the new chain may need a different setting but as long as they are both the same tightness each side is what matters.Loosen the wheel and move it forward when the axle is loose and the pin holding the axle nut is removed.Unscrew the two 6mm bolts holding the front sprocket a the engine side of the chain.Turn the part on the front sprocket where the two bolts have just been removed so that it lines with the gearbox splines and pull it forward along with the front sprocket at the same time as you push the loosened rear wheel the chain should pull away from the teeth on both sprockets.
To put on the new chain just reverse the proceedure.the ajusters need to be tight but not too tight just enough play to move it up and down slightly remember both adjustes need to be the same position each side and check that the wheel is in line with the bike and straight as uneven adjustments will cause the wheel to be turned slightly off the required vertical position.
I have a 1996 Honda 300trx. It will kick start
it could be just the starter motor brushes worn out or the starter relay not working right, try hooking up a 12 volt lamp bulb to the starter lead and earth and hit the starter switch if the bulb lights and go's out when you let go of the starter switch its not the relay playing up its the starter it self wip it off and strip it down to see if the brushes are worn out or just sticking
Vacuum pipe
yes that is definatly the vacuum pipe that should be connected to the fuel tap you will find there is a smaller part on the tape for it to go on you will most likely have to get the tank close to to reconnect it unless you can get your hand under to refit it
Gears are stuck
chances are the gear selecter shaft was pushed in when it went over and possibly jammed the selector fork remove the clutch cover and have a look you might get away with just knocking it back into place if nothings been damaged
I have a brand new relay yet my fuel pump will not
Are you sure it doesnt respond? i thought the same and even bought a new one still no change.
I found out the if you empty the pump of fuel and the line leading in that you"ll hear it over the engine noise as a slight clicking noise till it gets full and quiets down. also i took on of the line off just to make sure the gas was being pumped out when it was quiet.
Cleaned the carbs. found a
the carbs must be syncronized, this will set the carbs so they are using the same volume of air and will make the bike run its best
Honda 500 TRX fa6 has PS on the dash….what does it mean ?
The Power Steering has failed. There has been a factory recall for a suddenly failing electrical steering shaft, that could cause the rider to loose control. This does not have to be your problem but anyhow either the electronics or the pump failed. Error codes or messages usually have to be erased by a simple reset procedure or disconnecting a plug, after repairs are done.

What to torque the head on my 99 CBR 929 Honda in
For a 1999 Honda CBR929RR, the cylinder head bolt torque specifications are essential to ensure proper engine assembly and function. When tightening the cylinder head bolts, it's crucial to follow the manufacturer's recommended torque settings to prevent damage to the engine components.
For the CBR929RR, the cylinder head bolt torque specifications are typically as follows:
1. **Initial Torque:** 29 Nm (2.9 kgf-m, 22 ft-lbs)
2. **Final Torque:** 64 Nm (6.4 kgf-m, 47 ft-lbs)
It's essential to tighten the cylinder head bolts in the specified sequence and in multiple stages, gradually increasing the torque until reaching the final specified torque. The exact tightening sequence can usually be found in the service manual specific to your motorcycle model.
When torquing the head bolts, ensure you're using a reliable torque wrench calibrated in the appropriate units (Nm or ft-lbs). Always follow the tightening sequence precisely to ensure even pressure distribution across the cylinder head gasket.
Additionally, it's advisable to use new cylinder head bolts if the old ones have been previously tightened or stretched beyond their yield point. This helps maintain proper clamping force and ensures the integrity of the engine assembly.
As always, referring to the service manual or consulting a professional mechanic experienced with motorcycle engine assembly can provide additional guidance and ensure the correct torque settings are applied during the cylinder head installation process.

2006 Honda Shadow Arrow 750 VT missing on the rear cylinder fire
. One possibility is that the spark plug or plug wire is faulty 1. Another possibility is that the carburetor needs cleaning and adjustment It could also be due to a valve adjustment issue or a bent rod.
I would recommend taking your motorcycle to a professional mechanic who can diagnose and fix the issue. If you prefer to troubleshoot it yourself, you can start by checking the spark plug and plug wire for any damage or wear and cleaning the carburetor. However, please note that working on a motorcycle engine can be dangerous and requires specialized knowledge and tools. Please take all necessary safety precautions and follow the manufacturer's instructions when working on your motorcycle.
