1990 Honda CBR 1000 F battery keeps going dead

Probably the stator needs replacing..The bike will run off the battery until it goes dead.. Replace it and the bike will even have more power..That's what I would check. You can do it yourself but you have to have a special tool to take it out

I have a 1990 CBR 1000F and when I run down the

Check all your wires and make sure that they havent worked themselves loose to include sparkplug wires. Also while on that subject when was the last time you had a tune up and or your sparkplug wires checked if they have a crack in there jacket or are drying out they could be losing spark. Let me know if that helps you out if it turns out your spark plug wires are bad I would replace the plugs also or at a minimum check them and make sure they are not fouled. Last but not least not sure if you have had your fuel filter replaced before but check that also.

Clutch is slipping after replacing clutch plates

Hello and thanks for the question.
Your CBR1000F has a hydraulic clutch and may have a problem with the hydraulic system. I assume that the cluch plates and springs were installed properly.
I would flush out the hydraulic system first with fresh fluid and make sure that the line is free of air and the lever feels smooth and strong. The master cylinder may have become corrodd and plugged up over the years. If the hydraulic system is working properly you should go back to the clutch and check for improperly installed plates or excessive wear on the clutch center or the clutch basket.

If you have a continued problem please contact me back.

Thanks and I hope that this helps.

Hi, I'm not sure if

hi, sounds like the fuel tank breather pipe is blocked or traped, lift the tank find the pipe from the botom of the tank which is not conected to the fuel tap, this will fit to a spigot/pipe union on the underside of the tank it may be under a plastic cover on this bike if my memory serves me rite, the pipe should hang loose and exit under the bike, you may find 2x pipes 1 is for overfueling and the other is tank breather, oherthings maybe on this model the vent is in the fuel cap itself, open cap inspect ruber seal for condition,if it has been replaced with an aftermarket seal or home made 1 poss this could be preventing the air flow, you could remove the cap completely, pop to a motorfactors buy a cheap plastic fuel cap fit it for trial and error purposes ride the bike, if the bike rides fine then you know the issue is with the fuel breather, if it is you would be best to remove the tank and completely check out the breathing apature,

I am having slow throttle

hi, ummm strange 1500 thats way to high, it should be 950 to 1000 no more than that, you have got an idle adjuster that connects all carbs together, if you look on the left hand side ( as if you are sitting on the bike ) look between the hole in the panel ( you might have to remove the small panel to access it ) you should see a black wheel type thing, turn this clock wise to raise the rpm, anti clockwise to reduce the rpm, if, how ever you do this and the engine die's when you get to 950 rpm, and looking at the other symptoms about the slow throttle, it may be a case of getting the carbs balanced as this is a sure sign of out of sync carbs...hope this helps you
