2005 Harley Davidson Fat Boy. How to clean the starter leads on it?

Undo the nut. Clean both sides of the connector tags with a new steel wire brush. Smear contacts with Vaseline or dielectric grease. Re-fit and bolt back up. https://www.ebay.com/b/Starter-Motors-Relays-for-2005-Harley-Davidson-Fatboy/177959/bn_87762209 ..

Locate the source of an ignition fuse being blown when i energize the run switch?

Sounds like something is grounding out/earthing. Look in a manual for the wiring diagram and check all the wires going through #8 fuse to see if the fault lies there, failing that it could well be the run switch itself.

Removal of rear wheel bearings on my 2005 harley fatboy

Purchase your own Harley Davidson Wheel Bearing Replacement Tool. It takes it of and secures the new one flat. Always remember to reinsert the spacer between the new bearings. I purchased my HD Tool on E-Bay for 65.00. I will post a video so you can see how easy it is. This is the same video I viewed before I did mine. Good luck...

How to replace 9 volt alarm battery on 2001 fatboy

If your'e referring to the back up battery in the alarm itself. I have a 2012 Fat Boy, and my alarm is not a Harley item, but is mounted in the stock Harley location. It is between the rear wheel mud guard and the battery box. The rear wheel must be loosened, and lowered or removed, then the mud guard loosened or removed. You can see some of my alarm when looking at the bike from the clutch handle side, just behind the battery location. Some parts might be apparent there, but not accessable unless you do the above. I had mine professionally installed cause the rear tire looked like a task I'd rather pay for to have removed. I needed a new tire anyway, so the overall service cost was lower having them both done at the same time. PS Harley will not install an alarm that's not a Harley brand. I hope this helps. Good luck

How to start harley fat boy after long storage?

If it is carburetted you may have had fuel dry up and contaminate, plug carburetor jets etc. IN any case even if EFI the fuel is likely stale and you need to drain the fuel tank and put in fresh fuel. Did you have your mufflers plugged or did rodents get into them and build nests?? Is you battery dead. Re charge it to hold at least 12.6VDC and have it load tested. If you did not have it on a battery maintainer it is likely shot. Does it do anything, any lighting on, any click when you try to start it etc. POST a lot more information if you wantmore definitive assisatnce etc.

Harley trouble codes

If you go to HD Forums and search the trouble codes you will be able to see a whole page of the codes and numbers for those codes! I got mine there and it is a big help when working on my bike! I fixed a friends bike because I knew what the code was and it saved him nearly $1200 from what the shop wanted to charge him and we fixed it for $17 !

Scorpio alarm install

With any custom application, you have to get creative sometimes. On my rigid custom, I'm running a Bad Boy air horn. Works great, but is big and ugly as sin. I ended up goin' old school, and mounted it under my transmission. You might check out that area and see it it works for ya.

1992 fatboy intermittently runs on one cylinder

1. Have you tried replacing both of your spark plugs and/or plug wires? If both of them are okay, 2. Do you have electronic ignition with a Power Commander on board? If so have, ask the shop that installed it, to make sure it's mapped out okay. You could have hit some buttons on the computer.
