I am having difficulty changeing gear she wont go

I guess you've sorted it by now, but as I've had the same problem on my 2004 R850R today and called into my local dealer, it may be the same problem as yours....First up, check that the clutch isn't slipping and the clutch fluid is ok. Then check the gearchange linkage.Assuming all in order, there's probably some dirt in the gearshift lever bearing. This is located behind the left side footrest. If you take the foot rest off you'll see the pivot point. There's a bolt from the inside, a metal tube and two plastic bearings. Take it apart, lube and refit (or replace if worn). The gearshift should now move very easily and always return to the mid-point.If it happens again when out and about, try moving the lever a little either up or down (the opposite of whichever way you're about to shift), not so far as to select the next gear, but enough to return the lever to the central position.Good luck!(If it was something else, could you post it in case it's a common problem!)

Heated grips on an R850R

My '96 R850R has heated grips which I think are original equipment. In the "Service and Technical Booklet" that came with it, fuse #7 in the junction box is listed as being for the heated handlebar grips. You could see if there's any wiring set up for that fuse on your bike, and it might be a good place to start. The fuses are numbered starting with #1 closest to the left side of the bike, and #7 is a 4 amp fuse.

Fuse for the headlights for 650 BMW 2008

On a 2008 BMW 650i, the fuse for the headlights is located in the fuse box under the hood. The specific fuse you need is Fuse #61, which is a 20-amp fuse located in the third row of fuses from the top. To access the fuse box, open the hood and locate the black plastic cover on the right side of the engine bay. There should be a diagram on the underside of the cover showing the layout of the fuses. Once you've found the correct fuse, you can use a fuse puller or a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove it from the fuse box. It's always a good idea to check the owner's manual for your specific vehicle to get the most accurate and up-to-date information on the location and function of the various fuses.

My 2003 BMW R1150RT won't start after it overheated, what would the problem be?

It depends on how hot it got and for how long? Holes in the pistons under the spark plugs. Burnt Exhaust Valves. Stuck Valves. First thing to do is to remove and visually inspect the spark plugs and then test for compression. Interesting reviews and on mentions burnt valves. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/bike-reviews/bmw/r1150rt/2001/ ..

2004 BMW R1150RS 7,700 Sat for 2 yr with some starting. No spark, bought coils and new plugs. Bike has never been in rain or outside.New battery. turns ovr nice. Please respond if you know this bike

I don't know the bike but I doubt it is much different in principle than many others. The first possibility to consider is whether any immobiliser is functioning properly and is being properly disarmed before attempting to start. The owner's handbook would be a good place to begin... Once you know the immobiliser is disarmed and power is flowing to the parts it is supposed to flow to, using the circuit diagram, the various supplies and grounds can be checked and using an oscilloscope check the output from the various sensors as applicable (crankshaft, camshaft). Even though the bike has never been outside it might not have been immune from the effects of damp and condensation that can defeat many moisture barriers. It isn't unusual for electronic unit and sensor terminals to become dull, oxide coated and a barrier to current flow...
