C3 STALLING ON BREAKING
Stall as in cuts out ? Or no power stalling ? Have u got pipe from engine to break master cylinder are your fluid pots full to the full mark ? Will it stall if you coast ? Ie stop acclerating ?
My bike has been working
I would change the solenoid if it is incorporated with the starter you will more than likely have to change the starter. you should be able to kick it over our pop start it in gear. If it wont start that way you have another problem.
Were is the battery on a aprillia 125
unscrew and lift the petrol tank and you will see the battery if it's the same as my sons 2005 you will need to losten the water bottle to remove the battery.
Cant get rs 125 to run because mixture screw needs
hi this might help, general rule of thumb on a two stroke is turn the screw all the way in untill it seats, then back the screw out 2-2 1/2 turns, this should enable the bike to start, once you have the bike running, set the idle to about 1500-2000rpm.turn the mixture screw in untill the engine starts to labour, then turn the screw out once again untill the engine starts to labour, what you are looking for is the "sweet spot"between these two labour points, this "sweet spot"will be where the engine revs reach their maximum, you will probably now have to back the idle screw back to a sensible idle, thats all there is to it..hope this helps...cheers
What should be the percentage of the battery when
If the system is 12 volt, which I think it is, a new battery should read 13+ volts fully charged. Note! You can have 12 volts, but low amps. You need to ideally charge the battery and put a load tester on it to know the truth about the condition of the battery. Chaz Moto DC
Sometimes it wont start on the electric start even
RS125 Non-Starter Checklist
- If there is a nick in a tube or you have a leaky carburettor, your fuel could have escaped and evaporated over the course of a few hours (Lift your filler cap and check that there is fuel visible in your tank).
- Someone could have played with it since you last rode the bike or you might have forgotten.
- Put the bike in neutral and push along with your feet (or have someone push you).
- When you have reached a good speed, put the bike into SECOND gear and hit the starter button.
- If she starts up, pull the clutch in. The problem would appear to be in the starter motor.
- The starter relay can be found behind the radiator and the connection means that it is possible for wires to fall out of the unit.
- If you can bump start the bike and the wires are all connected, the problem could lie within the relay.
- Turn the engine over and make sure that a good volume of air is coming out of the exhaust.
- If possible, take it off the bike and look for blockages.
- Make sure the choke is not flooding the engine.
- Remove the seat and lift the tank up.
- Either remove the spark plug or take a good plug that you are certain work, and connect it to the HT cap.
- Touch the end of the plug to the frame via the insulated cap as you are in for a shock (haha) if you hold the plug itself.
- Hit the starter button and look for a spark.
- Check the original plug in the same way to make sure that it isn’t the source of the problem.
- Make sure that the HT lead sits snuggle onto the plug.
- Make sure that everything is plugged into the CDI as it should be.
- This is located underneath the pillion seat. Look for bare or cut wires.
My 03 rs 250 wont start
it sounds like , when you where adjusting the shift ,it might be off a little and the bike thinks it is still in gear ( false neutral ),maybe readjust the shifter and see.worth a look.
I need to get to carbaretta to clean but cant lift
there is no valve to turn off on modern bikes. you will have to syphon off petrol into a safe container and can pinch hose with a small pair of mole grips or bend hose back 180 degrees and put a rubber band on
April 125 2 stroke
it might be what was wrong with my sr125 if you hav been running it on low oil it can cause air bubbles in ur oil pump if so you need to flush ur oil pump and everything will be fine its cause the heat is causing it to seize good luck n i hope this works
When i press the start button it doesnt do anything
If you can hear a click then your solenoid sounds like it is working.First you should check your battery voltage and if not over 12v charge your battery and this should solve the problem. If not it could be your starter and you can come back to me.
Please do though leave positive feedback if I have helped
Thankyou
Starter relay
have you been riding in the rain? check the start button, for continuity first, before you start digging into other things, sometimes they get stuck or rusty, if you dont have cont. when you push it ,try electrical cleaner ,might help, not a good idea to try to bypass the relay, could do more damage.pull the starter and bench test it,relays seldom fail, but dont rule it out, motorcycle batteries usually only last a couple of years, maybe it died,or the connections are bad
My 02 starts but makes a mad squeeking sound wen
Sounds to me like the gas /oil mixture is lacking the "oil" part of the equation. The squeaking is your main bearings telling you goodbye. If you 2002 has an oil pump, it ie either broken or there is no two stroke engine oil in the oil tank. You stand a strong chance that the connecting rod bearings are also going bad. Sorry.
Just as a quick check, Remove the flywheel cover and grasp the flywheel in both hands. Lift the flywheel up and down, left and right. If there is any movement at all then the bearings are definitely gone bad. The flywheel should be rock solid. Install new crank seals when servicing the engine. Please let me know what you find out.
I don't get paid for my answers but I do take pride in them, and I am only trying to help. So if you will, > > > > A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!
Headlight problem
try the fuse. although i would think if its a fuse then the beam light would not work either, but check anyway, or it could be a bad ground / earth on the lighting circuit
I have just fitted a powervalve and the bike seems
Hi!
Your bike needs more air. Mount the lid on and mark the spots where the air would flow freely. Drill the marked holes. There's also a chance that your air filter is too restricted. Change to K&N as these have better air flow.... or blow air to clean off any dirt (but this would only solve the problem temporarily). I recommend you to replace the stock filter with a K&N.
The drilling part works with my 2 bikes.
