I have a 1971 Suzuki t350 bad stator Ideas?

Being a resistive coil there are pass/fail values for that assy. Given it's age, a re-wound unit will restore functionality if that is in fact the failure causing your problem. Find test values, and determine if it is in/out of spec. There are stator rewinders, prices and reputations vary. But it can be done for reasonable money spent. It is also possible to increase the output of the unit when rewound, some can be done some can not for various reasons. Do a search on stator rewinding, and I believe you will be well on your way to solving your problem.....Good Luck

there are a few things you can do first is check the fuel flow to the carb and check to see if the carb is getting fuel to do this unscrew the screw on the bottom of the carb and see if the fuel is flowing if it is remember to retighten the screw ,then you may have to reset the valves or you may be getting air back into the carb.. also remember to always keep a check on the oil level you can severly damage a motor if the oil get to low and you run it...

To stop a dieseling two stroke motor you can either choke them out (full choke) or block the air intake with a rag and starve the motor for air. Chances are the carburetor slide is sticking in a wide open position. Take the carburetor apart clean and inspect it. Also inspect the intake manifold for cracks and air leaks. For normal running add a kill switch so you can stop the motor without having to unplug or ground the spark plug. If the motorcycle is completely stripped except for a power wire to the coil, add the kill switch between the generator (wire coming out of the motor) and the coil.

Observe the bikes engine where the only wiring connection is attached. Spark plugs are enclosed within a plastic coating. Decipher from the bikes picture at the bock directly below gasoline tank is an engine block. The top part has an outlet connection for wiring cables. Aslo ascertaining the spark plugs by tracing the exhaust pipes through until arriving at the engine as the cyclinder block. However, the sparks are found at the top of the engine.

Lookig to change tranny fluid on 71 t350. there is

hi, the transmition/ or gearbox as is more commonly known has but 1 drain plug. this will be located in the middle of the crankcase lower,undo the plug and alowe the oil to drain away into a container, the gearbox and clutch use the same oil as it is all 1 unit, the crankshaft, cylinders aand bearings however are all lubricated by the 2 stroke oil which i am sure you know,
when refilling the gearbox with the correct grade of oil, you will pour it carefully through the small filler in the clutch case close to the front footrest, also in the side of the case slightly below the filler you will see a 10mm screwhead bolt, you will need to remove this as it is the level screw, pour oil slowly into the filler untill the oil starts to come out of the level hole, allow some time for the oil to stop coming out of the hole, when it has finnished dripping, then replace the level screw and the job is complete.
THE MACHINE MUST BE ON THE CENTRE STAND TO COMPLETE THIS TASK.

Suzuki ts125 2-stroke no start

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To address the no spark and if I remember right, TS125s are:
  • point/condenser type ignition;
  • battery is not necessary for the engine to run;
  • power for the ignition is inside the magneto. There is a coil aside from the charging and lighting (stator) for this purpose;
  • engine kill is by grounding the ignition coil terminal in the IGN switch.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls postback should you need further information. Good luck and thank you for using FixYa
