Inside the switch, there are two wires. Connect them together. This completes the circuit as if, the switch was set to run.

Check that the carburetor is getting ample supply of fuel from the tank. Sometimes a clogged tank vent or partially blocked petcock(causing slow flow) can cause symptoms similar to yours.
How many timing points are there for a gy 125cc
There should be:
1 mark on the flywheel with a "T" mark which indicates the Top Dead Center of the piston's position.You must turn it to match the mark on the crankcase (a carved line usually).
1 mark on the camshaft's sprocket and a line carved near there on the head.At this structure manufacturers differ from each other.But if you look hard to figure out how it works I sure that you will see it.
You must push the camshaft's chain when you align the marks like when the tensioner will after you put it on.Use a screwdriver through the tensioner's hole.
When you are done the marks on the cam and the flywheel should align straight with their pairs on the case.

Having trouble wiring the ignition system on a 1980 honda XL 80.
WThat center thing is the armature. It generatates voltage by breaking the magnetic field created by the field coils.. You won't get shocked or even feel the current because you cannot get it spinning fast enough. You have a coil that generates the high volttage spark from the pulsing of the generator output and voltage controlled by the regulator. the field coils are ennergize by turning on the keygetting power from the battery.. n no doubt you did good in your rewire, but the only way to test it is to run it. Yup, reassemble, new oil and start it. Sorry guy.
Honda xl 100 1982 wiring problem
As long as your battery has tested good, and it is fully charged, the next thing to look at is your electrical ground. Clean the battery terminals with some emory cloth and also shine up the ends of the battery wires that attach to the battery. Then trace the black and the red wiress to the other end and clean them with emory cloth. chances are that corrosion has made a connection poor resulting in subpar flow of electricity to your signals and horn. Once you have checked and cleaned the battery wires test and see how your signals and horn are working. If they are still weak then you need to open up the signals and the horn and clean up the connections there. get back and let me know how you make out. I know we can solve your problem.
Not charging {I think }
I assume that you have a meter of some sort as you stated the voltage as 16v.
test the battery voltage with the engine off, should be 12.4 volts or there abouts.
then test it again with the engine running, 14 to 16 volts should show a charge. Turn it all off and leave for 30 mins to an hour and retest the battery with the engine off, if the reading is lower than 12 volt then the battery is faulty.

Honda crf 125 boggs out when twisting throttle but
hi m8,, your carb is blocked ,undo the circlips from the air box,and cylinder , pull carb out,,unscrew or undo the screws to the throttle on the carb,, turn carb upside down, undo the 4 screw at the bottom,u might a rusty lookin colour in the carb ,that needs to be cleaned, undo the brass lookin jet screw ,and blow down it,, then put all back to gether, ,if u still have a prob come back in and il take u threw next step,,
Light problems on my atv
yes you can..but how are you going to turn it off when you dont need the light? seems like a hassle to each time when you need light connect it to the selenoid, and to turn it off unhook it...
Anyways..you can hook it up straight to the batt.

Honda xl 100 1982 wiring problem
i ould start by checking the main engine ground, its a real possibility for your problem and always a good idea, if that does not solve it then i would clean the contacts in the horn button and turn signal control. be careful when opening this as the parts are small and can easily fall out of place
