Were does the water go??
If this is a Gilera DNA 50cc ( or scooter with the same engine, ) then try looking behind the water pump. It could be either the seal or a crack in the casing. This allows the water to run straight down into the cranckcase, even when the engine is off. The bike will start but run like a bag of nails, pushing white steam out of the exhaust and won't rev over 5 thou. Don't ask how I know...
Drain the coolant and remove the two water pipes that run from the radiator to the pump. Remove water pump and look for signs of damage to the casing (you may have to clean it with degreaser) If the seal is damaged it will be evident and can be replaced with a new one. If the casing is damaged then you can:
1) Pay through the nose to have it stripped down and alloy welded (ouch!)
2) Pay through the nose to have it stripped down and replace the casing (ouch again!)
3) Use emery cloth to rough up the surface and mix araldite, chemical metal, or plumbing repair putty (not plumber's mait, silicone sealant, super-glue, snot, chewing gum or anything like that...) Make sure it is pushed fully into the gap but be careful not to get it on the seal or the crank end. Then when it is completely dry, refit the pump and pipes, refill the system and see if it all goes to plan. Start the motor and watch the coolant level and temp guage. Top up the level as the bubbles come up. Hopefully all will be well and Robert is ***********'s brother.
Hi my gilera wont start
Your battery is dead or has a connection issue the easiest fix would just be to get a new battery if you don't feel comfortable doing this on your own it is a fairly cheap repair cost
The bike starts for about
sounds like water in fuel,check fuel for water,or just drain and put fresh fuel in,drain float bowl for any water that may have entered carb, check air box/filter for water,also pull spark plug if wet and fire it may be more moisture than fuel,if there is a fuel pump check that also,may sound like alot to do,but at least you will no there is no water in fuel,had same problem myself.(water is heavyer than fuel).
OK my gilera runner fx
this happend 2 myn mate 3 times then i found out that the bit on yh crank wer your pully sits had bendt a little bit so ad 2 replce the crank
I have a 50cc NRG
2 things it could be
1 is the fuel diafram its under the tank there is one fuel line into it and 2 coming out these things get blocked quite easy
2 is the coils whats the spark like?
out of the two i would say the coil is breaking down under pressure

When you encounter this type of problem the best thing to do is find a fab shop that can reproduce the tube that was ripped away. I frequently did these types repairs when I was running my shop. It's not really that hard to do, you just need a lathe and some shop tools and a tig welder to fix it. If you have to pay to have it done it might cost about $100.00 plus you will need to replace the ignition that was destroyed.
I feel for you, most likely did not catch the thief either. If I still had my shop I'd fix it for free for you.
Good luck finding the fab shop you need.
My scooter does not seem to fire a replaced the
It could be a blocked carb but it sounds more like a spark problem. I am assuming that you have the right gap on the plug. If you do it could be either the exciter on the magneto or the cdi unit. The bang is nothing more that unburned fuel exploding from a spark so you know that you have fuel and spark. The trick is now to get them doing what they have to at the right time. I would start with the cdi unit. They are quite expensive so take yours out and ask the dealer to try it out on another scooter before you buy one. They are a small bkack rectangular box with a connector with usually 4 wires going into it and you will find it either under the seat or in the battery box. If it is the exciter, let the dealer sort it out as it is a fiddly job.
Front brake not working
remove the master cylinder cap on the handle bars see if your low on fluid if so add some and check for leaks also open the fluid bleeder on the caliper down at the wheel let air out this should stop the spongy feeling if not the master cylinder is bad and needs to be replace.
The dna 125 wont start
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, is there an alarm/immobilizer? If yes is it active/enabled?
Offhand, by "...
wont start..." do you mean starter motor will not spin or engine turns but will not fire?
Starter motor will not turn:
- press start button, check for +12 on green/black wire from starter switch to starter relay;
- if there is, is there a clicking sound?
- if there is a clicking sound, short temporarily the 2 big terminals of the starter relay;
- if starter motor turns, starter relay faulty;
- if not, starter motor needs looking into particularly the carbon brushes and the commutator segments.
Starter motor turns but no spark:
- check/replace sparkplug;
- check pulsating voltage on green/white wire going to ignition coil coming from the ignition control unit;
- check pulsating low AC voltage on green wire going to ignition control unit coming from the pulse generator coil;
- check presence of IGN +12 leading to the ignition control unit.
Starter motor turns, there is spark but motor will not run:
- check automatic choke (blue & white/black wires);
- check fuel quality and quantity delivered to combustion chamber (check sparkplug if wet).
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
My bike keeps jamming up with the starting motor
Sounds llike this is either the starter loose or, the starter gear is damamged or, the flywheel ring gear is damaged. I'd start by checking the starter, if not loose, remove it and check gear for damage.

Wont start keeps back firing
2 possible problems:
a) Jets in carburettor are clogged. Clean out the carburettor and jets thourougly. Write down the settings of air and idle screws first to dismantle ( count the turns to full lock up the screws. DONT apply much force ).
DONT scratch jets with an iron wire or something like that, use only Carburettor cleaner!
b) Ignition timing is wrong. Here, 2 possibilities:
Sparkplug is dirty or worn, replace it.
Key in flyweel is broken. Remove the flywheel, check the key...
Hope this helps you in the right direction for your solution...
