Offhand, a partial short or loose connector of the wiring harness from the handlebars to the main harness. Remove the panels to expose the wiring and visually trace start to end points. Check, clean the pins/terminals of the connectors. Be on the lookout for wires that have their insulation melted or rubbed raw against any metal part.

i have a the same ped with the same problem, il be fitting a molossi digital cdi and hopefully will be cured as it sounds to be restricted on the revs.

hi,,your carb wont do...its not big enuf airflow..but .the main jet for a vxr200 is a 1.18 or 1.20 (the 125 main jet is a 1.07).
i am haveing the same probs with a vrx 200 i bought..they run fine up 65mph & then seem to run out of fule...but chime back in when drops below 65mph..i have put the bigger main jet in & it doesnt make no diffrance..the carb carnt get enuf air to go above 65mph..carb of a 180-200 will sort it out but it may still need rejeting to suit big bore kit!!....also there is the carb of the dna 180 scooter as well.....good look..Howard

to check the electric choke..take it/off out of carb & unplug it. then get 2 short lenghts of wires, strip both ends...shove one end into the choke plug teminals(one in each hole) .then put one of the striped ends of thewires on a charged battery(one on the positve & one on the negitvie terminals) .keep them on for about 5 mins & you should see the choke head extend (you could always mesure it befor you put to battery & check in 5mis to see if extened!!) this will tell you if its working!!...if its not working this will explane why you have trouble starting from cold!!..it also sounds like the main jet is blocked...this is found by taking of the float bowl (as you may know!)it will prob be the small hole up the middle of the jet that is made up with muck!!...try sticking a strand of a wire brush up/threw it...also it sounds like the exhaust is leaking round the maifold..will have to take exhaust of & check if it need a new gasket..or resealing!!(does the exhaust blow?. this is good way to tell if it is leaking(put a rag/palm of hand over end of exhaust & you should beable to hear it blowing. ...hope this helps....Howard

u need to chec the wirin-is there any cuts or corrosion or did u connect things rite--may need to output test the alt and reg

Is gas tap working properly??

If there is a vacuum line from the gas tap then follow it to manifold, may have come off.

hi.check the float needle valve assembly and make sure it is not loose,this will allow fuel to travel unchecked into the carb and ultimately overfilling the the bowl,also check that your fuel tap is not in the "pri"position,this will also allow fuel to travel unchecked into the carbs..hope this helps,,cheers ian

first thing to check is all the wiring for any damage or incase something has just come unplugged before getting the cdi unit checked and is the ignition switch in good condition??

the first thing you are going to do is clean the spark plug,or its better if you try to replaceit.,of you do that but still the problem is the same,then check and set the "timing" if yourt motorcycle is contact point operated,.
But if it is CDI operated,then you have to replace the said CDI.
If you have done all these things but it is still doesnt work good,try to check your ignition coil if it has loosen contacts or it is already defective.

buy a litre of SILKOLENE PR 4 PLUS 5W-40 and add a litre to the engine this is the best oil on the market get it off ebay

80cc of 20w oil

1st check your fuse, then the battery,thencheck for power to the ignition switch & on to the dash

u front clocks have blown find a replacement and fit u should find it works all fine again

There should be a number on the ignition key switch to take to a lock smith and he should be able to make a key for yea.

Replace the spark plug and purchase some wire dryer spray, this product is applied to the spark plug coil and spark plug wire. sometimes a carbon track on the coil or spark plug can cause the problem.

seek out a nylon washer to replace rubber seal.use teflon tape on plug threads.

Gently turn the air screw inward until it LIGHTLY seats. Now back it out one and one half turns. That is the factory setting.

asuming you took the enginecover off, the spring goes on the sproket
that holds the kickstartlever. It is tricky and somewhat dangerous to put it on, since it will have a lot of tension.

the spark plug possibly get back to me if thats ok
