How do i change oil in buell blast 06

It's a little tricky. There is a drain hose with a plug in the end on the left side clipped up toward the rear tire. The transmission/primary oil should be changed when you change the engine oil and filter.I really recommend you get a Blast service manual - they are still available.Getting to the cover for the primary requires removing the left foot peg and getting that off and on can be a real exercise in frustration.Be VERY CAREFUL NOT TO OVERTORQUE the screws, they strip very easy.

Won't crank over

Check to make sure your clutch is pulled in and that the clutch switch still works. It's more likely that the clutch switch isn't allowing a signal to the starter to tell it to spin.

Missing and backfireing automatic choke not

Check to make sure the automatic choke is still plugged in - it is a square grey connector hanging on the side of the barburator under the gastank. If it is connected - make sure your carb is still seated in the rubber boot that goes into the cylinder head - a good backfire can pop it out and leave you with your symptoms.

How do i check the oil

The dipstick is at the frontmost part of the gastank just below where the handlebars are. it is black and about an inch in diameter. it unscrews lefty loosey - righty tighty. DO NOT OPEN WITH THE BIKE RUNNING!! The bike uses about 1.8 qts of oil. check it often cause if you are losing any there isn't a lot to lose before you have none.

Speedomiter does not read speed at all

Check your fuse. if they are all good then change your speed sensor located by/behind the belt cover on the motor. The gauge RARELY goes bad.

My problem is that my wife has a "2" prong spade

The ONLY sensors made for the buell blast are the 3 wire setup. Someone has been playing with your harness. get the factory service manual and fix the wiring harness the right way.

I have a question about a 2008 Buell Blast. On

That is the PCV breather hose. It is there to help control pressure build up inside the head. it is not a engine oil return. There should be a little bit of wiggle as it is just pushed into the grommet it lives in. All of the pressureized oil lines are under the right side of the motor just behind the oil filter.

Bad speed sensor

I recently sold my wife's Buell Blast to a nice young girl who called to say the speedometer has stopped working.  I did the speedo diagnostic and get a 02set code which will clear if the reset is held in but comes back immediately when you let go of the reset.  I removed the speed sensor and cleaned it but it still doesn't work and I realized that while the odometer does display accurate numbers and toggles between odometer and trip readings the mileage does not advance when the bike is ridden.  Any imput you may give will be appreciated.  As an aside I have a 92 RS1200.  Parts are hard if not impossible to find. Last year my rear caliper died and after much research found a comparable replacement.  Anyone who needs help with pre-Harley Buells can write me at any time. The only thing you can do about the speed sensor is buy a new one.  I got one this year for my 03 Firebolt as it was bad too and my speedo and tach didn't work when I first bought the bike. ,,,

My 2006 buell blast will not turn over

What does "turn over" mean. For example, did you intend to say that the starter motor will not turn the crankshaft? or the starter tries to turn the crankshaft and the crankshaft will only go so far?
Check: Battery, fuel etc. Its a realtively new bike and it should be intact so its probably the battery or fuel. Give a little more info so we can have more clues. Thanks.
