2007 Bajaj Platina Questions & Answers
How get more pick-up in platina
Good quality spark plug.Fresh air filter - Either replace or make sure the one that you're using is clean and dry.Chain and Sprockets - these wear down over-time which will decrease pulling power so it's always good to check if they need changing; also make sure the chain is oiled and clean.Check that you dont have any vacuum leaks (Loose or split carburettor rubbers), it will cause slow power delivery making acceleration sluggish. Also check for no exhaust leaks, mainly where the gasket is where the exhaust bolts onto the manifold. You can also run some kind of suitable additive through your fuelling system along with a fresh tank of fuel, this will clean / flush any unwanted dirt.

During Mansoon my Platina 2006 model refuses to
Its a quite common problem with most of the bajaj stuff across, but not in the new one's i guess. Rather going on extreme, use the choke (for just 1 min) wherein more of petrol with less air will be flushed to the carb, wherein it starts the engine, and gets it heated up sufficiently.
Once, your engine is heated up, then its ready to have the leveraged pick up.

Dear,
Platina is a typical Bajaj bike. which is a 100cc bike and is well known for high mileage.
never over stress the engine and dont try to over load the bike.
maintain the speed of about 45-55 km/hr.
keep the bike cleen and dust free
follow the oil change schedule for better performance.
try to fill the Petrol from a particular pump everytime.
keep the bike single hand drive
remember.........bigger the gear...more the mileage
thanx

Broach slippage while in operation
You must check your oil level , and adjust catble length, if cable has no more adjustment ? You will
have to have a new clutch, about 35,000 to 40,000 miles on this clutch is worn out, and possible if
hard use at 23,000 miles. If less than these miles ? You should still have adjustment left. Make
sure linkage rod is not bent or bad threads, if this is the case, make sure you replace, because out
of adjustment will cause severe damage to your clutch . Ok

How much reserve petrol s
No standard ... up to about 1/2 gallon ... enough to get to the next fuel station in most circumstances. I try to refuel about every 100 to 125 miles and I have never had to use the reserve in any motorcycle I have owned.
Thanks for using FixYa.com

How to tune-up bajaj platina
The only thing you do is change out the spark plugs being sure to check each spark plug gap and adjust if neccessary and also the replacement of the air filter, also keep track of the proper oil change intervals. Keeping fresh oil in a bike is more important to horse power and fuel economy than some may think.
